Hi, I was thinking of upgrading plan and I was interested to hear experience on lock in e.g is it possible to upgrade from standard to advanced and if I don’t feel the benefits in a few months can I downgrade back to standard easily?
Enhancing patient experience can be quite a challenge! What are the key barriers you encounter in your practice that prevent you from taking your patient care to the next level and how do you think Dentally can help you overcome these obstacles?Share your experiences and ideas! 💡
Hi, what are the guidelines for customising email signatures to be more on brand and match that of our main email system, or ideally, will Dentally ever integrate with Office 365.for example as a mail relay so it's all handled in one place?I am keen to tailor the messaging and offers on the patient Comms as we send most of this out through Dentally to existing patients. Thanks
hi,hope everyone is doing well.Any advice how to use dentally specially when we need to paid practitioner? how can i run the report?I’m so new in this software. Many thanks for your help.
Good morning all,I’m wondering if there is any ‘work around’ regarding family members who share mobile/email addresses to enable them to each use the Dentally Portal. A particular issue we have is with for example a parent whose mobile and email details are shared with a child/children. I believe this means that only the parent can have a Dentally Portal login which therefore prevents the parent from booking their child’s appointments online/signing NHS forms in advance etc? I would be grateful to hear if there are any ways around this or have I misunderstood something? Many thanksKate
Has anyone been able to find any software that is compatible with dentally to automate your patient report segments upload to the likes of Hubspot/ Mailchimp so I don’t have to manually upload CSV files every week/month?
‘watch’ has disappeared from my hoverboard and also from the list of treatments - cannot find where it is to add to charts now - help please!!
So when I’m bulk editing patients to cancel days and such, I get a preview of the message being sent when its via SMS or Email but not when its by letter. Am I doing something wrong or can this feature be added? The system is cancelling the wrong appointments sometimes 😱
Hi Community! We have recently activated recalls on our system. We have 2 problems that we need help to resolve, please:When patients are contacted about a recall, a letter is mailed by Dentally, with a charge to us. Our preference would be to send via email, SMS or if a letter is needed, for us to mail it ourselves as we have plenty of spare stamps! The second problem is that some patients are getting recall letters despite them having future appointments booked according to the dentist set recall interval - how can we resolve these issues? TIA
Does anyone have any advice on how to easily keep on top of patient debts? In my practice it is me who is in charge of collecting any overdue charges from patients. I like to do this once a month but I am yet to find a simple way to keep track of this. Is there a way to bulk send letters to patients? And is there a way to show to patient what it is they owe for without doing it manually. I work in a large practice with around 22,500 patients so an automated bulk system is what I am after. I have attached photos of what I was used to with our previous computer software.
Hi all, HNY. If a patient hasn’t got an email address and you have to print a copy of the estimate for them, then is there a record anywhere that this has been printed? i am doing an audit and we need to assess and it doesn’t seem to keep a digital record of a print out, only that the emailed estimate has been sent? help!
Hey everyone! We’d love to hear your thoughts on how the Dentally Portal’s Online Booking feature is working for your practice. 💬 Is it helping patients easily book appointments? Are there any areas that could be improved? Your feedback will help us refine this feature to better meet your needs and your patients’!
I have a suggestion for the search function under the history tab in a patient’s file/treatment:Is it possible for the word or tooth number being searched for to become highlighted As if the notes for an appointment are quite long it can be more bothersome to try and find what I’m searching for.
Hi everyone, this is probably a really simple question, but does anyone know if there’s a way to permanently change the default appearance on the calendar? Ours is currently set to 'Payment Plan,' which was fine when we had an NHS contract, but I’d now prefer everyone’s default to be set to 'Appointment Type.' This would make it easier to instantly see treatment appointments and ensure they’re booked into the correct zones. At the moment, everyone seems to have theirs set up differently and manually changes it, which can lead to inconsistency. Is there a way to make this change across the board for the whole team
Hi, how can I get my API key for my practice for a custom integration I am building?
Hello! Vision was installed last week and we are keen to use it to it’s full potential. We use an Iris HD IO camera but unfortunately the capture button isn’t working within the vision software….. Anyone else have this issue? Many thanksAnnabel
It would be good to have an easier way to see a summary/list of recall/hygiene appointments on the appointment tab rather than seeing them all mixed in with all appointments - reason being, to work out quickly if they have had X per year and in particular if they have a payment plan where they are entitled to x amount per year on the plan.
Im trying to do report on dentally for the actual amount of time spent treating patients. However, it seems that when an appointments is double booked ( like a family appointment where all members have one time for the appointment) then dentally does not calculate this accurately, and only allocates the whole time of the family appointment to the report rather than the time spent on individual patients in that family. so the reports are inaccurate. This is a very important report so we can work out the actual time spent for therapists treating patients , as some of these therapists are paid on an hourly rate. how can we work the actual time spent iand take account of the actual time rather than the double bookings time in the diaries?
Hi, I am a new small practice in my first 6 months and just working on building the patient list…..i was hoping to introduce a “recommend a friend code” for patients and their friend to benefit from a small discount. Has anyone had any experience of using this feature or if it is even available? Many thanks,
How d we split a claim so that we can allocate separate udas to therapist and dentist.what report do we run at end of month to work out the applocation?
Hi, Does anyone know how the medical history link is sent in an email - so not by dropping down the link to send but in the email recalls the patient receives. I am trying to set this up and can see some patients receive it and others do not. I have tried to create a recall but do not feel it is classed as a recall.Somewhere in the background it is set up but I don’t know where…Any help would be greatly appreciated.Laura x
Hey everyone! Can you believe it’s December already? 😮 Now is the perfect time to revisit your pricing strategy and ensure your practice is set up for success in 2025. Adjusting prices can feel daunting, but it’s a necessary step to keep up with rising costs, inflation, retaining top talent, and continuing to deliver exceptional care to your patients. Hey Dentally Community! The end of the year is fast approaching, and it’s likely that you and your team might be taking time off to celebrate the festivities. There are a few tasks we recommend ticking off your to-do list, to keep your practice running smoothly this festive season. Here’s your guide to end-of-year housekeeping 👇Provide accurate festive opening hours - Make sure any variations to your opening hours are reflected wherever you display them in your practice and online (eg on your website and your Google Business profile). Ensure your calendar availability is up-to-date - Make sure your practitioners’ availability is aligned with time off or varying opening hours – so appointments are only booked when someone is actually available!💡 Top tip: You can use schedules, calendar override and opening hours in Dentally to easily reflect individual or practice-wide time off.Update your practice voicemail – Mention your festive opening hours, and direct patients to recall booking lin
Hi, can you come up with a way to rotate photos/ rads on the images section. thank you
hello. If a patient informs the practice that they were actually exempt after the treatment plan was completed, invoice created and claim sent for the UDA. Its my understanding that the NHS deducts that money from the payment they make to the practice next month because technically they think we were paid by the patient. The patient then refuses to pay the invoice when we contact him for the unpaid treatment and its at that point that he informs us that he was exempt when treatment plan started. What needs done in this situation to basically recover that amount? Thank you
