Message to the developers - it’s essential to have an option to put a separate password on the income section of dentally separate from the password to login. This is because we have to give access to nurses to chart teeth ect while we are with patients. However they shouldnt have access to our income as that is personal information and I have recently found nurses accessing this without permission.
I think it would help reception if each clinician’s diary was in different colours, not just an option of having coloured appointments.
Hi, Is there a product roadmap for Dentally - i know we get the monthly updates but is there a living breathing document to help understand what’s possibly being introduced in the future? It could even be a sunshine diagram(like a transformation diagram with categories ie practice management, patient comms, APIs, Dentally Pulse, Reports etc and a now/next/future timeline?) It could be interactive for voting/feedback on potential features as forums are great but hard work scrolling through all chats/features and i just love something visual - big and all in one place! I know sometimes teams aren’t keen as its pinning down with dates’ish, but from a customer perspective i don’t want to be ‘surprised’ by the latest new feature...instead i want to be like - oh they said they were going to do x and now its delivered brill! And look if something isnt right or something else is prioritised, having that visibility is better than not knowing at all...(we’re friends right?!) thanks
@Saymon Do Dentally have any plans to integrate with WhatsApp, it can be easier to manager (And cheaper than SMS) a few of our patients say they dont use SMS. Tom
Whenever I log in to Community it logs me out of Dentally, so I have to log back in again. Could this be fixed so it doesn’t log me out Dentally, it’s so irritating!!
Does anyone know if theres an option for no email address. It keeps asking on the tablet but some pts simply don’t have an email for correspondance cheers
Is it possible to not be able to look at the appointment book and drag down a session and allocate to ‘private only” etc? I can add a 30mins “annual leave” block but cant add a 30mins Private only? not without going into zones and creating a new zone for that 30mins which is a bite time consuming, thanks Ro
A feature request to have a recall overdue alert next to the Medical history overdue alert
Appointment Finder is a good way to search for appointments, but there's a couple of ways you could make it really useful:1.) In the appointment finder filter, add a 'days of the week' filter so I can select only the days I'm looking for, without having to scroll through loads of appointment slots on days I don't want.2.) 5-minute intervals for spaces is much too short, and leads to a lot of bloat and endless scrolling - If there's a space at 11:30, I don't need to know there's also a space at 11:35 (and 11:40, and 11:45... etc). Instead, just put the first available time in that space, and then set the interval to 30 minutes. So the gaps would read: 11:30, 12:00, 12:30 etc. It would vastly cut down on bloat, and allow finding spaces further down the line much faster.3.) Separate point - Please bring back the appointment matrix from Exact so I can see spaces weeks & months ahead again. The 'Practitioner utilisation forecast' is already a good start, please add a horizontal scroll t
Please can there be a setting on the online booking list to organise patients in time order of when they booked so it is easier to monitor and we know if we have checked a patient or not
Description:At the moment, we have to manually select sections and copy and paste to carry forward monitoring points from the last visit. A one-click “duplicate last clinical note/history” button would save a lot of time and help ensure nothing is missed.Suggested workflow:Open a patient’s clinical notes Click “Duplicate last note” (or similar) The previous note is inserted into a new note for today, ready to amendThis would be especially useful for ongoing monitoring (e.g. “still monitoring X”, “reassess Y”).
It would be very helpful to have a group messaging option like there used to be on SOE Exact.
Hi Has anybody been able to report on items in custom fields on the radiograph treatment item? We are looking to report on how many small radiographs had “acceptable” in the evaluation box etc.Our x-ray images are stored on a separate system to Dentally so Ellie bot’s suggestion of using the radiograph audit report would not work.Thank you
Good afternoon,I’m interested to see the launch of the new Dentally Kiosk to allow for self check in. However as we have 2 waiting rooms, it’s not really viable for us at the moment. Are there any plans to develop Kiosk further so that it is able to direct to more than one waiting room?Interested to hear your thoughts. Many thanksKateBurgess Hill Dental
Welcome to the Dentally community! 🎉 You’re now part of a group of professionals dedicated to advancing dental care with the help of innovative technology. Take a moment to introduce yourself, tell us a bit about your role or your practice, what brings you here, and maybe something fun about yourself (like your go-to way to unwind after a busy day at the practice!). It’s a great way to connect with fellow members and start building relationships within our community. Don’t be shy! Jump in and say hello! 👋
Hello, just a few suggestions It would be useful if the information box that appears when you hover over patient’s name, would have notification if NHS PR form needs to be signed (currently, it notifies us when a medical history form needs to be filled out, but for NHS forms we must check every patient’s nhs tab in their file). Additionally, it would be great if the information box also showed patient’s NHS exemption there. If patient has two back to back appointments booked with different clinicians, It would be useful if notification popped up when checking them in for the first appointment, notifying us that there is a second appointment and asking if we want to check patient in for second appointment as well.
At the moment, tasks don’t support a threaded back and forth conversation, so it’s hard to keep task-related messages in one place. It would be really helpful to have a private conversation thread that stays linked to the task, visible only to the task creator and the person it’s assigned to.Use case:Creator assigns a task and needs to ask a quick question or share an update Assignee replies in the same thread, so the full history stays with the task No need to use internal chat for task-specific messages
I have brought this up several times but it is a huge hinderance not being able to see NHS charge for each item next to the item in the treatment plan. It makes it very difficult to discuss costs per appointment or even answer simple questions during appointments. EXACT has the NHS cost and fee next to each charted item and the total cost charted for each appointment in the treatment plan as you chart. This is hugely helpful.
Good morning everyone I’ve noticed Dentally runs quite slow these days- the animated Dentally logo is present for quite a while when opening patients. I’ve tried all of the troubleshooting tips- caches cleared, everything updated etc. but to no avail- we’ve tried it on a range of PCs older and newer. Are other practices having the same problem and does anyone know of a fix?
We’ve historically used Open Treatment Plans very effectively for diary utilisation and identifying outstanding treatment opportunities. However, one key limitation we’ve encountered in Dentally is the inability to efficiently filter and identify specific unbooked treatment items within open treatment plans. At present, if we try to search or filter by treatment type, the system also returns closed, completed, and historical treatment records. This makes it extremely difficult to isolate treatment that is still outstanding and genuinely unbooked.Having the ability to filter specifically for:Open and incomplete treatment only By treatment type/procedure With no future appointment bookedwould significantly improve diary management and operational efficiency. This would be particularly valuable for:Filling last-minute diary gaps with appropriate treatment Managing clinician-specific availability Supporting visiting clinicians who only attend for certain procedures Improving utilisation of o
Hi, I have a couple of large reports that are not fully loading and constantly spinning. How do I stop / cancel them so I can start again? Many thanksd
Would it be possible to create the % of unstable pocket depths on the perio chart as well as bleeding, which you have recently added. I have to physically get the calculator out to work out pockets of 4mm bleeding on probing or above.I’m sure lots of hygienists and periodontists would appreciate thisThank you
Has anyone else experienced anyone booking an appointment via the dentally app in an appointment slot that doesn’t exist? E.g. Tom has an appointment for 60 minutes ( 2pm-3pm) but it’s allowed Tim to book an appointment at 2.30pm via the dentally app (with the same clinician on the same day)
Is there a way to turn off this annoying new feature ‘ready to book’ or have it automatically toggled on by default? Its just another button to press before reception can book pts in.
Hi new to dentally (over the last 10 months) and i couldn't find this question in archive. When writing notes i am finding the cursor seems to jump around, occasionally i’ll be editing my template and the cursor would randomly have jumped to a different line, or end of the line or a different position and its making note writing difficult as i am consistently having to correct its positioning. I have tried multiple keyboards and wired to see if it was a keyboard issues but it seems to be a constant problem with all surgeries here. Is this a known bug with the library used? Is there any fix for this? Thanks in anticipation. Sim
