We’re really not a fan of the new clinical notes update. It is not user friendly, it’s overly clunky and added additional steps which where not needed. I think it should revert back to the original note taking, as it was much more user friendly.

Some suggestions for better PR forms:Populate a list of family member’s names for the “If you are signing for the patient give details below: Name (in CAPITALS)” field using registered family members Have a better list of common relationships for the “Relationship to patient” field eg mother, father, step mother, grandma, Sister, foster carer, carer etc Allow patients to select their exemption themselves directly on the PR form Drop the first screen confirming patient details ...just make the PR form interactive Require baby due date for baby in last 12 months exemption Force selection of  under 18 years of age for children (and prevent selection of any other exemption all of which are invalid for children) Require HC3 “amount” for HC3 certificate exemptions Allow choosing the date of acceptance for backdating FR forms (to allow correcting exemptions in the past)

Good morning everyone I’ve noticed Dentally runs quite slow these days- the animated Dentally logo is present for quite a while when opening patients. I’ve tried all of the troubleshooting tips- caches cleared, everything updated etc. but to no avail- we’ve tried it on a range of PCs older and newer.  Are other practices having the same problem and does anyone know of a fix?

Hoping someone can help or at least commiserate! We've been experiencing ongoing issues with our Dürr VistaScan Mini disconnecting from Dentally Vision seemingly at random - and more frustratingly, images disappearing mid-processing. When this happens we have to go and retrieve them directly from the Dürr file directory, which as you can imagine is disruptive mid-appointment.To rule out the obvious - our network connection is solid, and the scanner has recently been serviced and tested, so it doesn't appear to be a hardware or connectivity issue on our end.An added headache is that retrieving the lost images from the Dürr directory is not straightforward - currently I seem to be the only person in the practice who knows how to do it. So if I'm not available when it happens, it becomes a significant operational problem with no easy resolution on the ground.I've seen a few comments from other practices flagging the same problem, and one suggestion that's come up is that Carestream scanne

Hey - I think it should be an option to always send medical history forms to in house Ipads, as not all patients have smart phones/may need help to update theirs. Some patients need to update them more frequently too. 

Does anyone know how you can move incomplete treatment items from history in to a new plan, as far as i can see you can only re-open that course old course of treatment? of treatment? It’s a bit of a faff having to write them down and re-input in to a new plan if there are multiple items outstanding. it would be great if you could ‘add to new treatment plan’ option on incomplete treatment items. 

Trying to calculate patient chair time for an ongoing course of treatment it would be really useful to be able to generate a longer time period than having to do 12 monthly reports for one years length. Totally impractical 

Hi there, Hopefully in this platform we will be more lucky.For over two years now we have requested to your support team via chat if there is anyway to develop a feature able to run a report that identifies missing dental notes after a visit has been charted and the patient attended, but no notes have been recorded.This is a common feature in other dental softwares but not in Dentally. Sadly today we learned that none of that feedback and requests was passed to your your product team. All fingers crossed throughout this channel to be listen at! 

We use diary zoning a lot and sometimes when there are gaps in the diary and we want to create a specific zone for that time and date, it is a bit messy to have to do it the current way and have a huge list of zones. We think it would be a good idea if there was a way that you can directly click on the diary (like you do to create an appointment) but to create a zone instead.

Our portal just updated to the new clinical notes today. Old clinical notes have disappeared from history tab. Some are there and some are not. I have narrowed it down and it seems the clinical notes that were typed on line items loaded from “Plan templates” have disappeared. I have checked all my exam notes over the last month, and all gone!! I load my consultations, exams, bitewings, OHI etc from plan templates and they are all gone! The random line items such as Periapicals that were loaded from “treatment list” are all there. I mostly do orthodontics and with the clinical notes gone for these consultations, I am left in a position where I cannot send patients treatment plans and consent forms as I have no notes to refer to.I am hoping this is a temporary glitch and the notes are backed up somewhere and can be loaded back on?

Hi, I have charted watch on a tooth, it comes up on the chart, then when I do treatment over the area the watch was charted why is the watch still there over the treatment? Treatment should overlay the watch to show i am not watching this anymore. Why is this not the case? How can i change this?

I'd like to provide feedback on your DIrect Messages feature. The windows to see the list of contacts is too small, and there is no appropriate signs as to which conversation has been read or not. Perhaps this features requires some reworking, as it is specially frustrating on large practices with dozens of staff texting. In fact, you cannot even read their full names if too long. Please fix this as this is a huge quality of lifeimprovement for a very good platform.

Could I please ask why this change to notes was pushed?  The old system of writing and reading notes was exceptional - everything in one place, visible, easy to view whilst also multi-tasking on other things (writing letters to patients, nurse checking notes for me whilst I am doing other clinical work). Now it feels like we’re using the extremely outdated and unfriendly R4 with the clunky notes bar on the right. I’m not sure what the reason was for the change, but personally would be grateful if we could have a choice to revert back to the previous system. Thanks.

Since the update was introduced, we have received numerous complaints from users across the practice who feel that the new workflow is significantly more complicated, less intuitive, and more time-consuming than the previous version.One of Dentally's greatest strengths has always been its simplicity, ease of use, and ability to allow teams to quickly access and record information. The new clinical notes interface appears to move away from these principles. Information that was previously visible at a glance is now hidden behind additional clicks and menus, making it more difficult to navigate patient records efficiently during busy clinical sessions.A particular concern for our administrative team is that they can no longer easily leave notes or c

Hi team,We use the deposit feature regularly to discourage patients from cancelling on short notice/FTA and it is really helpful in keeping our utilisation up.There are a couple of things that would really help with making this feature more effective:1)A way for reception to follow up on unpaid deposit links sent out. There is currently no way to check which deposit links remain unpaid. The “send payment link” option has a generic message. We would like to update this with a template with additional text (to avoid manually typing it each time). However, if we try to set up an SMS template, the “ [payment_request_link]” for that deposit amount is not a tag available, ie we can’t link in that specific deposit amount, just the patient’s whole account (which wouldn’t work anyway as deposits are not listed as an invoice)… Could you look into making these enhancements to make taking and following up deposits more efficient?

 It would be extremely useful to be able to colour code the different “kinds of correspondance” as it makes it immediately obvious without having to change the filter what is what.  Example: If we attach an incoming referral from the hospital or another dental practice, it would be nice to just scroll down to the latest e.g. red colour knowing that it is a referral, it saves time and navigating would be immedate with less clicks here and there.  Seconds matter when we’re moving around the system It would be useful if we can FORCE a clinician to look at an important “kind of correspondance” when the patient next comes for an exam.  Example: An important referral from the hospital has been added to the correspondance.  Rather than having to create yellow sticky notes etc, if we want to make sure that the dentist sees and does not miss the referral during the next “exam” appointment, it would be nice to add a feature to “upload new document” screen or any of the “kind of correspondance” s

cannot delete clinical notes now since  last Thursday changes. Is any one else having this error even with level 4 permissions

It would be great if we could send the same message to a group on Dentally Chat in the way one might do on WhatsApp and the like. For example, if this was a feature we could send a message to all dentists, all nurses, all staff etc. like a bulletin.  

Is there a way to group message in the practice like SOE yet

At the moment, Dentally won’t let you use Charge when the appointment total is €0, so it won’t generate an invoice from the treatment plan for PRSI exams (because PRSI Exam has no patient fee) I would like to Allow Charge to create a €0 invoice when appointment total is €0. It is difficult for reception to know when a PRSI exam has been done as no invoice is automatically created then
