Hi everyone!

We’re developing the ability to send SMS and emails when an appointment is booked in the calendar, so you no longer need to send confirmations manually after booking an appointment.

If you’d like early access we’re looking for beta testers to try the feature and provide feedback.

Drop a comment below if you’d like to join, and we’ll get in touch with next steps!

Hi Hebe, do you know when the testing will be running? I will be away for a month so just checking the timing will work

Could I ask for a related feature: could you please get the confirmation email to be sent out with say 5 minutes delay in case it is being moved around in the calendar when booking. This happens when we are booking a patient and we put the appointment on the calendar and the patient is still discussing with us timings and say they finalise on another time and we move/drag it. So the system will check in 5 minutes if the appointment is still there and will then send a confirmation.

Hi @Taha. This is exactly how booking confirmations will work! When the appointment is booked there is a 10 minute delay before the SMS and/or email is sent to the patient. This is to ensure that any changes to the appointment can be made before the messages are sent out, so you’re always communicating the correct information to the patient.

Hi everyone! Thank you so much to all that have asked to be a beta tester. We now have enough participants lined up that we won’t be taking anymore volunteers at this stage.

We’ll be reaching out to all have have asked to test the feature this week with an information pack of how Booking Confirmations works.

If you are interested in using Booking Confirmations but missed the call for beta testing, please leave a comment on this thread, and I will make a note to get in touch with you when we release Booking Confirmations to all of Dentally.
