Hi guys,When we have an email sent to us and it is not through Dentally, we have to obviously log it in a patient’s notes, correspondence etc. It would be good if a ‘log and email’ toggle could be selected as well as ‘log a call’ in correspondence
It would be ideal if we could scan documents within the software so documents can be scanned on patient file and immediately uploaded. Like on SOE.
As a Level 4 user, I would like the ability to change the date of an existing payment without having to delete and recreate it.At present, if a payment is entered with the wrong date, the only option is to:Unallocate the payment. Delete the payment. Enter the payment again with the correct date. Reallocate it to the relevant treatment or invoices. This is a time-consuming process for what is often a simple data entry correction. It also increases the risk of mistakes when reallocating payments.Allowing Level 4 users to edit the payment date while keeping all allocations intact would:Save time for practice staff. Reduce unnecessary administrative work. Minimise the risk of allocation errors. Improve efficiency without compromising security, as the permission would be restricted to high-level users.
Hi,When an NHS patient is exempt because they claim Pension Credit / Universal Credit etc - the GP17 form asks if this is the patient or someone else who qualifies for the benefit. When it is the patient there should be a box to tick to state it is the patient.Instead it then asks to type the patient name and DOB or National Insurance number. If this is the patient then this is so time consuming and very annoying. If the patient is the one who claims the benefit we should be able to just tick the box and not have to type out all their information again.
I find it so hard to process refunds and clear off bad debt. I follow the support instructions but sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't! there needs to be a much easier way to do it. Instead of having to put invoices on and take payments and add notes maybe just a ‘Refund’ button which automatically takes the money off the account. Same for correcting patient debt, it feels like its such a long process just to do a simple task :(
We are having issues when patients are completing their FP17 at home on the portal, and either not marking an exemption or wrong exemption. If it is under 25 over 60 as this does not come up on list of exemptions as it is not a permanent exemption so there is no way at all to solve this, if you invalidate the FP17 it is not reissuing the form to the portal, and then the patient automatically comes up with a charge. If the exemption is wrong and we invalidate it it still does not send to the portal even in if a COT has not been planned.I do feel practices need to be able to invalidate and reissue when the patient attends its causing a lot of time to be spent trying to figure out as admin how to rectify it and then for clinicians in practice who presume the patient form is correct. If we could simply send a new form to the clinipad on arrival it would solve all the issues. If we get a paper FP17 signed this will not serve any purpose as it will not change the charges on the record for the
What seems to be a new update, putting the dentally support in a bubble on the bottom right of the page. Please can we get an option to remove this and keep the support where it was.
We regularly have an issue with receptionists deleting appointments instead of cancelling them. When an appointment is deleted, we lose the record of why it was removed, whether it was cancelled by the patient or by the practice, and any associated notes.Would it be possible to add a permission setting that allows administrators to prevent users from deleting appointments, while still allowing them to cancel appointments? This would help maintain a clear audit trail and improve record keeping.
Hi!At the moment, Dentally is only allowing to capture one email address per patient record. Is there a way that it can capture more than one per patient. so that it will work in automation notifications?Thank you.
Adding a Duration filter to Appointment reports would make it easier to identify appointments above a specified length. This would be particularly useful for Dental Therapists who perform both Exams and Hygiene appointments. If a Hygiene appointment is mistakenly booked as an Exam, it could trigger incorrect recall automation. By filtering for appointments in the report with a minimum duration (e.g. a typical Hygiene appointment duration), users could quickly identify and correct these booking errors before they affect patient recalls.
Please add a 'Fit Day to Screen' or 'Compressed Timeline' diary view. Reception staff need to see the entire working day for multiple practitioners at a glance to identify availability without scrolling. This functionality existed in systems like SOE and greatly improves diary management.
We are wanting to add a QR code that links back to a feedback questionnaire to some of our letter templates but Dentally does not support this. Dentally support has suggested adding the QR code to already created letters in Word but this is not really an effective solution for us. Could this be added as a development feature please?
Hi! I have noticed there was an update with the way dentally displays images that are attached to emails. While it is nice having a thumbnail of the image displayed, it is now more tedious/difficult to download these images. Previously, you could click on the image name and it would automatically download from dentally. Now, you have to click on a teeny tiny little arrow on the bottom right hand side of the image thumbnail, select “download” or “preview” (since these options do the same thing), the image will then open in a new browser tab, and from there you will need to right click the image and save as. Is there any way this can be circumvented or rectified? Even if the “download” option actually downloaded the image properly, the options are very small and it is easy to accidentally select the wrong thing from the drop down!
We have moved from exact to dentally and we are finding it quite clunky. I wondered if anyone had found an easier way to view the appointment book, In exact you could open it and see gaps no problem. In dentally we are having to scroll through the days or use the search which isn't exactly ideal and its just all quite a faff. Or an easier way to process refunds - Having to release deposits and put it on as a negative payment or invoice. It just very long winded. Thanks
The system does not allow for GP17 part 2 to be signed when a treatment plan is finished on the tablets. It makes users in Scotland a high risk for having claims rejected which could massively impact on earnings. This should be addressed as an immediate issue please. Other systems flag when a plan is finishing and prompts for a second signature.
Please can we add a feature to be able to scan directly into the correspondence tab. It is very time consuming to have to scan to the computer drive first and then upload. Also it would beneficial to be able to attach documents and xrays directly from dentally rather than having to download them then open and email and attach them from the drive.thanks
Hi, Is there a way on the appointment card pop up when creating a new appointment for the duration to match what we have set, eg an exam is 20 mins but the card defaults to 5 mins. This is causing a lot of booking errors when team members forget to extend it to the correct time.Thank you Amy
It would be really useful on for example notes to have the date it was last editied/posted be an actual date rather than ‘yesterday’ or ‘21 days ago’ or '4 months ago’ Or for example when looking at appointment history you know when you click on the little clock to see when and how appointments have been edited a date and time would be really helpful again rather than the vague ‘edited a month ago’
Hello, How do I change the default time for appointment reason? I can set them up and change the order however I am unable to find an option to change the default times, they are all set as 5 minutes which means we have to modify the time manually Thank you in advance
It would be really helpful to be able to add multiple people on the same task and get reminder notifications
It would be extremely useful to be able to colour code the different “kinds of correspondance” as it makes it immediately obvious without having to change the filter what is what. Example: If we attach an incoming referral from the hospital or another dental practice, it would be nice to just scroll down to the latest e.g. red colour knowing that it is a referral, it saves time and navigating would be immedate with less clicks here and there. Seconds matter when we’re moving around the system It would be useful if we can FORCE a clinician to look at an important “kind of correspondance” when the patient next comes for an exam. Example: An important referral from the hospital has been added to the correspondance. Rather than having to create yellow sticky notes etc, if we want to make sure that the dentist sees and does not miss the referral during the next “exam” appointment, it would be nice to add a feature to “upload new document” screen or any of the “kind of correspondance” s
Is there any possibility of adding the Dental Activity codes to the NHS Treatment categories listed in the Treatments & Plans Settings page?It would greatly help practices to see what codes are actually attached to each treatment item - rather than us guessing and just having to identify and fix each invalid NHS submission. For example: Antibiotic items prescribed (9358)My conversations with support are long, and then takes extra time to submit claims that we now need done promptly for all our performers to get paid for care packages in a timely manner. It seems such a simple fix would take minutes to implement - and help all practices (certainly in Wales with the changes post-April)
Hi @Hebe Lowen @Saymon Do you know if Dentally has anything on their roadmap for the Denplan Data Exchange link that we had in in Exact. We have been told that we have the most amount of Denplan patients in the area so managing our Dentally database with any changes on the Denplan Dashbaord can be quite a cumbersome task. I know it means each company talking to each other but I wondered if any progress had been made to streamline our admin?Tom
It would be very helpful if there was a easier way to export patient correspondence having to print screen and copy and paste everything individually is so time consuming , Please create a export call log feature / export sms feature / export email feature same as you can export clinical history
Trying to calculate patient chair time for an ongoing course of treatment it would be really useful to be able to generate a longer time period than having to do 12 monthly reports for one years length. Totally impractical
