I noticed there was this problem 4 months ago in regards to the appointments not going back into unbooked from the clipboard. I have been on to support but they are telling me that once deleted from clipboard they are gone, which is untrue because we have been using this function for a number of weeks. I am at a loss as of what to do because I fear I have now lost some appointments which need to be booked in the future. Would any body have any knowledge of how to rectify this ?
Hi welcome to the Community!
I’m sorry you’ve been wrestling with the clipboard, there are three slightly different outcomes depending on how the appointment got there:
-
Copied from Calendar → Clipboard
-
If you simply copy an appointment into the clipboard and then hit the
️ bin icon, it only removes it from the clipboard. The original slot stays live in your calendar.
-
-
Moved from Calendar → Clipboard
-
If you move (drag-and-drop) an appointment into the clipboard, clicking the bin icon also deletes it from the calendar. In other words, that slot is gone entirely.
-
-
Created in Patient Record → Clipboard → Calendar
-
If you’ve added a new appointment inside the patient’s record (so it saves straight into your clipboard) and then navigate to the calendar and click the bin, it behaves like case 1: it simply removes the slot from the clipboard, leaving your calendar untouched.
-
If you ever need to recover a slot that was deleted under scenario 2, just head to the patient’s Audit tab, find the deletion entry, and re-run the original “create → clipboard → calendar” flow.
Let me know if that lines up with what you’re seeing, or if anything still feels unclear!
