We’re really not a fan of the new clinical notes update. It is not user friendly, it’s overly clunky and added additional steps which where not needed. I think it should revert back to the original note taking, as it was much more user friendly. 

With the new notes feature, there is nowhere to leave myself notes/reminders for appointments where I can see my reminder next to the appointment when the patient comes in for the appointment (Eg use kalzinol liner deep cavity/remind patient to bring updated medications).Adding a line under appointment where I can leave little reminders like this would be very helpful. 

It would be hugely useful to keep things charted when a tx plan is closed (often because a patient doesn’t return). It saves a lot of time re-charting things if the patient later returns. A tab of miscellaneous similar to EXACT would be really useful. 

Our portal just updated to the new clinical notes today. Old clinical notes have disappeared from history tab. Some are there and some are not. I have narrowed it down and it seems the clinical notes that were typed on line items loaded from “Plan templates” have disappeared. I have checked all my exam notes over the last month, and all gone!! I load my consultations, exams, bitewings, OHI etc from plan templates and they are all gone! The random line items such as Periapicals that were loaded from “treatment list” are all there. I mostly do orthodontics and with the clinical notes gone for these consultations, I am left in a position where I cannot send patients treatment plans and consent forms as I have no notes to refer to.I am hoping this is a temporary glitch and the notes are backed up somewhere and can be loaded back on?

Does anyone know how you can move incomplete treatment items from history in to a new plan, as far as i can see you can only re-open that course old course of treatment? of treatment? It’s a bit of a faff having to write them down and re-input in to a new plan if there are multiple items outstanding. it would be great if you could ‘add to new treatment plan’ option on incomplete treatment items. 

Hi there, Hopefully in this platform we will be more lucky.For over two years now we have requested to your support team via chat if there is anyway to develop a feature able to run a report that identifies missing dental notes after a visit has been charted and the patient attended, but no notes have been recorded.This is a common feature in other dental softwares but not in Dentally. Sadly today we learned that none of that feedback and requests was passed to your your product team. All fingers crossed throughout this channel to be listen at! 

Hi, I have charted watch on a tooth, it comes up on the chart, then when I do treatment over the area the watch was charted why is the watch still there over the treatment? Treatment should overlay the watch to show i am not watching this anymore. Why is this not the case? How can i change this?

I'd like to provide feedback on your DIrect Messages feature. The windows to see the list of contacts is too small, and there is no appropriate signs as to which conversation has been read or not. Perhaps this features requires some reworking, as it is specially frustrating on large practices with dozens of staff texting. In fact, you cannot even read their full names if too long. Please fix this as this is a huge quality of lifeimprovement for a very good platform.

Could I please ask why this change to notes was pushed?  The old system of writing and reading notes was exceptional - everything in one place, visible, easy to view whilst also multi-tasking on other things (writing letters to patients, nurse checking notes for me whilst I am doing other clinical work). Now it feels like we’re using the extremely outdated and unfriendly R4 with the clunky notes bar on the right. I’m not sure what the reason was for the change, but personally would be grateful if we could have a choice to revert back to the previous system. Thanks.

please, how do i create an autonote as an additional documentation just like in EXACT?

Would love a feature to highlight or ‘pop-up’ an individual tooth history with notes . In my mind a simple ‘click and hold ‘h’ on the keyboard would bring up all the relevant notes for base charting and history of an individual tooth rather than having to search through the notes. I realise if you hover over it you see some of the previous treatments, but would love a shortcut to actually access the previous notes. 

we have some patients who come privately for initial appt and then wish to change to denplan if they need a lot of treatment carried out as we offer discount. it would be helpful to be able to move the treatment plan to denplan pricing without having to rechart is this possible. has anyone a work around

Please can all Dentist have total no of UDAs submitted on the dashboard … it will make things easy 

Would love some guidance on how to edit a previously charted filling when during treatment the surfaces involved change, eg; an occlusal cavity planned for an occlusal restoration  extends to become a DO. Currently we find we have to delete  the initial item and re-chart. This is a faff but also not medico legally prudent as it changes the point of diagnoses. 

Hi I notice dentally stopped letting me unlock the notes after charging. this is within an hour after treatment has not been completed.i have tried everything 

Are there any plans to add the UDA tracker as is in EXACT to dentally ?- much needed 

It would be great if the charting for base and treatment planning was much simpler with icons for the regular work that is completed next to the teeth in charting. 

HI we are having problems with generating a miscellaneous claims in the new Wales contract, the ‘acute mucosal conditions’ and ‘re cement inlay’ do not generate a miscellaneous treatment package, so we are having to use other codes to generate this, however this is not accurate for what we are doing. could this be corrected or should we be doing something else? 

could you conform that denture repairs require the patient to pay a lab fee on the new wales contract?my colleague has a problem when a patient was exempt for exam (over 60 exempt exam only) and he needed to claim a denture repair. having input the lab fee, it did not come up with a charge for the patient for the lab fee unless he took out the age exemption, could you clarify what should be happening please? 

Currently the list of medical conditions is long and hard to understand.Could I suggest a drop down list to select from.Also, comon conditions like ADHD and Autism are missing completely. These are both very common and need to be slected as they require different management to other conditions, especially in the chair.

when submitting a course of treatment in Wales that includes an Acorn, it is being rejected if it has ‘prescription of fluoride toothpaste’ in the claim.the prescription is generating a ‘miscellaneous’ claim, which is not ‘compatible’ with the claim.does this item need to be ‘miscellaneous’? could it just have no claim attached so we can use it in a course of treatment?

We recently switched to Dentally and wondering why we can’t have multiple “416” codes?I’ll click of 416 and it REQUIRES me to click a tooth for the treatment plan. Said tooth needs 3 x 416 codes and it won’t allow me to do it. Everytime I try to add the second 416 code, it deletes the first one. I have video proof of this happening. I also waited until the “saved” tab in the corner disappears after adding the first 416 code. The same thing happens with the 418 codes.Please rectify this ASAP!!!
