I am writing to share feedback from our team regarding the recent update to the clinical notes section within Dentally.

Unfortunately, the response from both our clinicians and nurses along with our admin team has been overwhelmingly negative. Since the update was introduced, we have received numerous complaints from users across the practice who feel that the new workflow is significantly more complicated, less intuitive, and more time-consuming than the previous version.

One of Dentally's greatest strengths has always been its simplicity, ease of use, and ability to allow teams to quickly access and record information. The new clinical notes interface appears to move away from these principles. Information that was previously visible at a glance is now hidden behind additional clicks and menus, making it more difficult to navigate patient records efficiently during busy clinical sessions.

A particular concern for our administrative team is that they can no longer easily leave notes or communicate important information for clinicians in the way they previously could. This has created additional frustration and has disrupted established workflows that our team relies on every day.

The overall experience feels more cumbersome and less user-friendly. Tasks that were previously straightforward now require additional steps, and finding key information takes longer than before. In a fast-paced clinical environment, these extra clicks and barriers have a real impact on efficiency and patient care.

As a practice, we are genuinely disappointed with this update. It has introduced complexity where simplicity previously existed, and the feedback from our team has been remarkably consistent. We feel that the changes have made the system harder rather than easier to use.

We value Dentally as a platform and have always appreciated its intuitive design. For that reason, we hope you will carefully consider the feedback being received from practices and look at ways to improve the usability of the new clinical notes functionality. At the very least, we would welcome the opportunity for greater flexibility, improved visibility of information, and a more streamlined workflow that reflects how dental teams actually work day-to-day.

We would appreciate knowing whether similar feedback has been received from other practices and whether any further improvements or revisions to the update are being considered.
