Would it be possible to have the “template notes” button in the text boxes when creating an estimate? (body, footer, payment terms) this would allow addition of treatment specific consent information text to be added to estimates with a few shortcut keystrokes. Would massively streamline getting relevant consent from a signed estimate.
We’ve had patients being booked in with the wrong dentist from the clipboard because empty slots in the appointment book flash as available across all dentists. Is it possible to make the available appointment book slots only flash in the column of the dentist the patient is registered with? This should reduce the risk of booking with the wrong dentist

We’re experiencing a couple of issues with the Concierge app that are causing confusion for our patients and staff:Task Incompletion:Patients using the concierge app sometimes see a message stating they still have one pending task, even after completing all required forms. (Please see the attached image for reference.)HC3 Exemption Amount Entry:We’re unable to enter HC3 exemption amounts in decimal values (e.g., £44.50). Only whole numbers seem to be accepted.Any quick solution to these will be helpful. Thanks
Hi - we’ve spotted Correspondences being added as an (undocumented) scope to the API in the OAuth process. Is this a new object and if so how can we access it?Being able to read and write correspondence and/or basic pop-up notes would be a huge help.
Hi allHope everyone is wellWe want to update out CRM to allow us to sync booked leads with denally, but unsure if Dentally’s API is 2 way. We spoke to a company that claims to help, but they didn’t!Does anyone have information on this. Many thanks
This is one for the @Dentally team. Are there any plans this year to repeat the Elevate workshops?
Good morning,Is it possible for Dentally to consider a development to the Patient Booking Portal whereby a patient only has the option to book the dental check relevant to their payment plan? We currently have private, Denplan Essentials and Denplan Care with differing length of appointments. So it can cause a bit of issue if the patient selects the wrong type of dental check. However if I’m missing something and there is an option to already isolate these please do let me know! Many thanksKateBHD
HI All I am just wondering if anyone else is experiencing this problem, and if anyone has any solutions, or if Dentally perhaps could roll out my suggested fix. Example. You have a full day of appointments, and the dentist needs to close the day (for some short notice reasson)You close the day using the schedule, but there is nothing to highlight to users that the day now has appointments in a day that is scheduled to close. Our clinic has 12 assoc columuns in the calendar, so the space between them is narrow, and you cannot clearly / easily see the white gap is replaced by grey. Obv, we do alert the team that the day is closed, and that they need to reschedule the day, but as with all staff, sometimes, we can be busy, and takle it later, and then for some reason it is overlooked, forgotten and again their is no prompt to highligt the issue. On a day that is not fully booked, it is very onbious. But also on a day that is very lightly booked, your calendar could be on am view / pm
Hi everyone,Is anyone else using the new Lab Work feature in the diary? I believe it’s still in beta testing, but I introduced it to my team today, and they absolutely love it! It’s such a handy addition to streamline lab case tracking and ensure nothing slips through the cracks. As an aside, @Saymon, can I put in a request for a similar prompt for Consent Forms that may still need signing? It would be incredibly helpful to have this feature available on the Visits screen too!Looking forward to hearing how others are finding the Lab Work feature!
Is it possible to assign tasks to multiple people rather than setting sub tasks?
Is anyone else experiencing issues with the task reminder messages that Dentally automatically sends to patients? They’re not working perfectly for us but costing us.
We often send feedback requests/ aftercare instructions/ tx plas to patients post appointment but prefer to not bombard them with estimates/invoices emails all at the once. Is there an option to schedule emails so they can be sent at more strategic times of the day when patients are likely to respond ? Bit like the gmail boomergang?
Hey just a few suggestions for improving the app.1. There is no lock screen/patient mode for the concierge app so that patients can click off it and click on anything else on the tablets..2. For the NHS PR form any chance we can write something along the lines of "Choose 1 option for the person having the appointment"We have a lot of parents clicking under 18 and then scrolling down and clicking universal credit as that is what they are on and obviously it changes the option.3.Can we have a payment locking option. We have patients that pay a deposit for certain appointments and we need it to lock rather than be in credit.:)
Hi everyone, we’re looking to label treatments on our treatment plans more effectively to differentiate between those that require immediate attention and those that are part of a second phase of care or proactive/preventative treatment. While we can rename the appointment numbers on the plan, the titles don’t seem to reflect these changes when the plan is printed. Does anyone know a workaround or a way to customise the printed plan to show these distinctions clearly?
We have previously instructed the team to explain all transactions, including deposits, to ensure that incorrect deposits are not linked when a new invoice comes in. However, they are frequently forgetting to unlink and match the deposits to the correct invoices. I would love to hear how you are managing this @Lesley Morgan-Barlowx
Hi, has anyone noticed if Dentally is accurately selecting the correct patients for the recall list? I'm experiencing issues at two sites, and Dentally support has identified a bug that's costing us, especially since we've enabled some automations for recalls and patient communication.
I’m curious to learn about how other practices are structuring their appointments. Are you still operating separate hygiene and examination appointments, or have you moved towards therapist-led exams? 😉
Hi, I was thinking of upgrading plan and I was interested to hear experience on lock in e.g is it possible to upgrade from standard to advanced and if I don’t feel the benefits in a few months can I downgrade back to standard easily?
Enhancing patient experience can be quite a challenge! What are the key barriers you encounter in your practice that prevent you from taking your patient care to the next level and how do you think Dentally can help you overcome these obstacles?Share your experiences and ideas! 💡
Hi, what are the guidelines for customising email signatures to be more on brand and match that of our main email system, or ideally, will Dentally ever integrate with Office 365.for example as a mail relay so it's all handled in one place?I am keen to tailor the messaging and offers on the patient Comms as we send most of this out through Dentally to existing patients. Thanks
hi,hope everyone is doing well.Any advice how to use dentally specially when we need to paid practitioner? how can i run the report?I’m so new in this software. Many thanks for your help.
Good morning all,I’m wondering if there is any ‘work around’ regarding family members who share mobile/email addresses to enable them to each use the Dentally Portal. A particular issue we have is with for example a parent whose mobile and email details are shared with a child/children. I believe this means that only the parent can have a Dentally Portal login which therefore prevents the parent from booking their child’s appointments online/signing NHS forms in advance etc? I would be grateful to hear if there are any ways around this or have I misunderstood something? Many thanksKate
Has anyone been able to find any software that is compatible with dentally to automate your patient report segments upload to the likes of Hubspot/ Mailchimp so I don’t have to manually upload CSV files every week/month?
‘watch’ has disappeared from my hoverboard and also from the list of treatments - cannot find where it is to add to charts now - help please!!
