Suggestion: put the save box at the bottom of the chart entry box so that when you have made a long clinical entry you do not have to scroll back up the screen just to save it.

Thanks for the suggestion! It’s a good quality-of-life tweak for long notes, I agree. At the moment there isn’t a second Save at the bottom of the clinical notes area. However, If you move away from the Chart you’ll see a Save and Continue prompt that saves all unsaved notes, and if the tab/window is closed you’ll be offered to restore the local draft next time you open the chart.  For Perio/BPE and for Base Charting we already save as you go, which is why those don’t need an extra button.  As a small workaround, you can open Charting preferences (cog on the Chart tab) and turn Locked chart off to get more vertical space for note-taking. 

 

I’ll add your idea for a sticky save bar/duplicate Save at the bottom of clinical notes to our internal board. If any other practices feel like this could help you as well, please add a comment below - it helps us prioritise 😊
