We have always zoned the diaries, we do find the make up of the zones changes every so often as clinicians find out what zoning works for them. for our busier clinicians we have even zoned one day a week purely for treatments. Perhaps having a team discussion about the problems individuals face with the diary and you may get some good ideas from within the team.
We have found also that once zoned in dentally, the portal has been a humungous help. and has been one of the biggest pros for moving to dentally.
The reception are still busy but for general check ups and hygiene we average around 500 book online each month so it takes a big strain off the phones, also allowing online payments for things like hygiene deposits if you take them are also a big help in freeing up time on the desk.
