Introduce a function that allows patients to specify clinicians they prefer not to see. If a patient is moved into an appointment slot with a clinician they’ve flagged, the system should display a warning:“This patient has requested not to see this clinician. Do you wish to proceed with this appointment?” This feature would streamline diary management by reducing the need for staff to manually check patient notes when reassigning appointments. It functions similarly to a “clinician exclusion list” or a reverse whitelist, ensuring patient preferences are respected while improving operational efficiency.
please could we have the feature back where, when hovering over a tooth or tooth space that brings up the history - this already happens, but on SOE you could then click on this item like a filling or XLA and it would bring up that entry from the clinical notes so you could see what was written then without having to scroll back through the notes
A Feature the teams have been mentioning would be the ability to show the exemption information within the patient info box shown when you hover their name in the diary. for example the image shown below if it could show just like this would be ideal, at the minute it will say NHS but doesn't show any exemption
I was looking at the Dentally NHS report and I was wondering why does the Dentally UDA report differ from the compass year end report in regards to UDA and UOA count. Would there be any reason for a discrepancy there?
I often use the freeform AI option as it is good at summarizing longer discussions with patients. However, I would also like to use it when I am using a more structured templated note. eg when I do an examination I also have long discussions with patients about options pros and cons etc. These transcripts are not integrated when the exam template is used. Although I can save the completed exam template as a draft, and then copy the transcript, open a freeform note, say ‘hello’ to start it, stop the transcription, highlight and delete the ‘hello’ and then paste the transcript and have Kiroku then generate the notes, then copy these into the patient notes as a second entry to the templated notes, it would be nice if there was a simple option of blending the freeform transcript and the template notes. ie get kiroku to do all the copy and pasting of transcripts. Would it be possible to have a ‘utilise transcript’ button to trigger kiroku to run the recorded transcript through the AI autom
We would like the ability to see a prompt when a patient has used their hygiene allocation per year , per band on dentally. We have 2 plans of which each plan has 5 categories of treatment and hygiene entitlement. In addition this would help us to identify via a report, how many patients have taken the allocation per their plan payment
Ability to send a group message rather than copying and pasting to individuals . We are a 9 surgery practice and find opening every dentist message box and copying and pasting far too time consuming.
Suggestion: put the save box at the bottom of the chart entry box so that when you have made a long clinical entry you do not have to scroll back up the screen just to save it.
Hi Dentally team,More than a year ago we flagged with our Dentally contacts (Product Lead and Consultant) that Dentally does not have Cross Domain Tracking with Google. What this means (simplistically), is that when patients see a Google ad and click through to book via Dentally, the link is lost and we have no way of knowing how many leads convert to a booking. The Dentally team are aware of this and the associated issues, such as almost all competitors (at least, in Australia that I am aware) already do offer this, and also, it means investment in advertising has a poorer effectiveness/return on investment as Google cannot track and optimise the advertisements to get the best results. In short- wasted expensive advertising dollars. In July, I was told by our Practice Success consultant that there was good news that CDT had been prioritised in the next quarter. However, he left Dentally soon after, and despite following up at least 3 times via email, I have not heard anything at all b
Hi everyone,Does anyone know of a way of adding the pts dental chart with treatment plan to the top of the estimate as part of the template? This has always been a great visual aid for patients and its a shame I cant seem to get it on the estimates since joining Dentally. Many thanksSimon
We’d like to send an automated email reminder to patients to check if they’d like to book in for their recommended treatment. I appreciate that there is the ‘Unbooked Treatment’ report, but if we could minimise our admin team having to call even just a few patients, that would really help.Has anyone managed to configure a way to do this?
Hi, As it is pretty much general policy that the use of remote access and cloud services in healthcare require a multi-factor authentication to be set for access. Is it possible to make this a requirement for new users to set up, or is it possible to at least allow us as a company to have it so new users must set up MFA in order to create their login? Many Thanks
Our Dentally Emails seem to show as “read” before anyone has opened or actioned them, with no audit trail. This means that they are often missed by staff who believe they have already been actioned.Anyone else having this issue?
I have seen that it is possible for treatment plan items and treatment plan appointments to be deleted. There is no webhook for this right or is there anyway to be informed that these are deleted via integration? Is it possible to request a webhook for this?
Would it be possible to make a suggestion? When taking patient payments, it would be handy to have a "write notes section" which would appear alongside the account. For example, if a deposit of £50 was taken for treatment - a note could be added "£50 taken towards RCT2" , which would appear in any account reports pulled.Or if a patient has called into surgery without an appointment, but wants to pay some balance off their account, the information can be logged in note section next to payment, “pt called into practice to make a payment”,
Hi, i am looking for advice on zoning the practice Diary, we are mixed practice and feel the practice is extremely busy , the team seem burnt out. I am looking for ideas to help the practice feel more smoother .
Is anyone using AI voice? Is this the same as Chairsyde?Any good?Does it work with noise/music/ other people talking in the background?
not able to re-process or edit who is taking payments such that when banking is done edits can be done
Hi, When we initially moved over to dentally we had put a feature request in for a month view of the diary, that could be filtered by clinician. We had this feature on our old management software, this allowed a straight forward easy view of how busy the diaries were for each clinician. It also allowed reception to see white space very quickly in order to book appointments, and to see any closed days.I understand dentally has the utilisation analytics, which we also had previously. I understand we cant use this to book but it at least gives us some idea of how busy diaries are. My request for this would be then simply add the ability to go forward month by month in the utilisation feature, rather than just allowing us to see the next 24 days.
Hi everyone, I'm looking for some advice or shared experiences regarding Mental Capacity Assessments within Dentally.Has anyone found an effective way to record when a Mental Capacity Assessment has been carried out on a patient, and more importantly, how to flag when a patient requires assistance in order to provide valid consent?Ideally, we’d like a clear, visible prompt or indicator in the patient record to ensure all team members are aware of any capacity or consent considerations during treatment planning or care delivery.Would love to hear how others are handling this, whether it's through custom medical alerts (and @Simon Guiver is this even possible?), notes, tags, or any clever workflows you've set up!Thanks in advance!
Reporting is very poor A way to bring up unbooked treatment where a future appointment is unbooked and the appointment is not marked as “do not book” is simply not available Can this be fixed. It seems to be a fairly straightforward fix that is simple on all other PMSs but not on Debntally
Currently recharting on a tooth - (eg caries on a tooth that previously had caries on the same surface) causes deletion of the original charting (which might be from years ago) ...which is a fairly serious medicolegal issue - now it appears that the patient medical records have been altered and are incomplete, effectively Dentally has deleted the dentist’s notes and is leaving the dentist open to litigation due to missed diagnosis / poor record keeping, and has made the charting confusing to use and less useful because the old record is absent. The auto delete function might be useful when charting ...but should perhaps be limited to deleting only recently charted items - ie in the last hour or 24 hours.
HI We have been using dentally since January, and having difficulty integrating the NHS referrals onto Dentally, we are having to flit in-between SOE and dentally . Is anyone else having issues or can advice us on how to refer through dentally?
I’ve noticed that it is possible to delete paid invoices from Dentally. On the API there is no webhook for invoices so I wanted to ask if there are any plans for an invoices webhook so I can be notified if an invoice is deleted or any other sort of workaround to handle this case?
We have moved over from Pearl to Dentally and have noticed that patients who have previously opted out of marketing aren’t getting recalls? As recalls aren’t marketing I’m wondering how we rectify this?
