could you conform that denture repairs require the patient to pay a lab fee on the new wales contract?my colleague has a problem when a patient was exempt for exam (over 60 exempt exam only) and he needed to claim a denture repair. having input the lab fee, it did not come up with a charge for the patient for the lab fee unless he took out the age exemption, could you clarify what should be happening please?
when managing multiple dentists it would be really handy to lock appointments to the specific dentist that requested it - when dragging and dropping appointments from the clipboard to minimise booking mistakes made rather than having to hide other dentistsor is there a better way to do this that i am yet to discover?
Dear Dentally team,I'm building a CRM and marketing tool on behalf of a client. Initially the client wants a simple feature that links a CRM contact record to a Dentally patient record (search by name/email/phone, store the patient ID, deep-link back into Dentally). The CRM is multi-tenant — the client is the first user, but other practices will sign up over time and connect their own Dentally accounts via OAuth. We'd like to design the integration correctly from day one.Could you advise on the following:Access & onboardingHow do we get access to the Dentally sandbox environment for development and automated testing? Is there a self-serve sign-up, or does someone on your side need to provision a sandbox practice for us? Do we (the CRM vendor) and/or our client need to be registered as a Dentally Partner? If so, what's the process, eligibility criteria, and rough timeline for approval? Many thanksPaul
At the moment, appointment reasons don’t have a default duration, so H30 always needs the duration selecting at the time you book. This is inefficient when H30 should always be 30 minutes for all practitioners. Please add a setting so an appointment reason can be configured to default to a specific duration (e.g. 30 minutes), rather than having to pick it each time.
Currently the list of medical conditions is long and hard to understand.Could I suggest a drop down list to select from. Also, comon conditions like ADHD and Autism are missing completely. These are both very common and need to be slected as they require different management to other conditions, especially in the chair.
I believe address look up is active in England. When can it be available in Australia please?
We’re using an I-pad and a touchscreen Chrome book for Concierge in our practice. We have used a Chromebook as a tablet as it is compatible. Unfortunately, when filling out the date of birth, they have to use the full keyboard to input the ‘/’ in-between the numbers for the date, which the I-pad does automatically. I understand this is not a setting Dentally can change, but was wondering if there is an easier way to find the patients to sign them in. A way that doesn’t involve typing in their date of birth. This is easier for our elderly patients who find touchscreen keyboards tricky, and can just maybe select buttons instead (which happens after).
HiI’d like to make a feature request please. We have no use for the ‘Ready to book’ toggle on the appointments- would it be possible to add the ability to switch this feature off in the settings or at least set the switch to ‘on’ as default? If someone forgets to tick the box it causes delays at reception Many thanks!
Is there a way to turn off this annoying new feature ‘ready to book’ or have it automatically toggled on by default? Its just another button to press before reception can book pts in.
We do not have an integrated referral system in our area at the moment (we have been told there is one in the pipeline but that has been mentioned for the last 10 year) We still have to use Exact to email off all our referrals to our local NHS hospital trusts because there are also issues about sending patient sensitive data from any other email other than an NHS one and they will NOT accept patient referrals from anything other than NHS email address. Has anyone managed to get some integration into Dentally to be able to receive or send emails from an NHS email address in Dentally.I spoke to support and was told that the NHS mail may need to configure the MX records but I have spoken to IT guys and they don’t know anything about being able to do that or I have the email just bounced back saying its not something they can help with. It is a real problem for us and means we have to run Exact concurrently with dentally at pretty much all times and of course if we now get a new patient th
Has anyone else experienced taking a payment, and then it loads and processes it to the users account but rather than getting rid of the payment box it keeps it on the screen, occasionally causing confusion as we think we just haven’t clicked record payment yet but we have and it successfully went onto the patient profile, so sometimes we end up putting a payment through twice as a result. We have very good internet, but this happens occasionally and has done for a few weeks now, is anyone else aware of this happening when taking payments, has this happened to anyone else before?
I would love to see headings and subheadings implemented into Dentally. Where we could file correspondence under Insurance, Referrals, Financial, Ortho, etc to make it a little more easier to navigate. Right now everything is messy and hard to find things. It would also be nice once the feature becomes available if we could add our own headings in settings, bc every office will have different things to file under. Thanks!
is there a way to set up automatic emails to patients (both private and NHS) a day or so before their appointment to update their medical history without having to send them all separately or have them fill in the form when they arrive on the tablet which takes at least a good few minutes
Currently if we forget to set a room when booking an appointment, the appointment won’t show anywhere in the room diary view.It would be good if we could set a default room per practitioner, and/or via a schedule ...and when editing the availability per day in the diary. This would preselect the room for all appointments being booked for the practitioner that day.Another (easier but less useful) option/addition would be to make room a required field when booking appointments.
when submitting a course of treatment in Wales that includes an Acorn, it is being rejected if it has ‘prescription of fluoride toothpaste’ in the claim.the prescription is generating a ‘miscellaneous’ claim, which is not ‘compatible’ with the claim.does this item need to be ‘miscellaneous’? could it just have no claim attached so we can use it in a course of treatment?
Hi new to dentally (over the last 10 months) and i couldn't find this question in archive. When writing notes i am finding the cursor seems to jump around, occasionally i’ll be editing my template and the cursor would randomly have jumped to a different line, or end of the line or a different position and its making note writing difficult as i am consistently having to correct its positioning. I have tried multiple keyboards and wired to see if it was a keyboard issues but it seems to be a constant problem with all surgeries here. Is this a known bug with the library used? Is there any fix for this? Thanks in anticipation. Sim
Hi ThereI have built a voice AI receptionist designed for businesses including dental practices. It handles inbound calls, captures patient details, and manages appointment booking. We're exploring the integration with Dentally's API to support live appointment booking and availability checks for practices using Dentally. We'd love to discuss becoming an approved integration partner and understand the process for gaining access to a sandbox environment to begin development. We are also currently working with practices that serve NHS patients and would be keen to understand how Dentally supports NHS practices, particularly where it could be a stronger fit for their workflows alongside our AI receptionist.Would someone be able to point us in the right direction? Thanks!
We had been using Vantage Rego to send across NW London referrals for our NHS patients, this was integrated into dentally We have been told by the ICB that we need to use eRS now, they have requested details on a form to ask for the APIM id, what should we be adding here? If not how do we send referrals now?
It would be good if we could use newlines, as well as bold, italic, underline - ideally just hmtl/css including hyperlinks - in portal appointment descriptions.Currently we are using brackets to section/demarcate second and third paragraphs but this is a pretty bad user experience, and not great for effective communication.Example“Description of appointment type. (Cancellation policy) Information about discounts and offers.“
We recently switched to Dentally and wondering why we can’t have multiple “416” codes?I’ll click of 416 and it REQUIRES me to click a tooth for the treatment plan. Said tooth needs 3 x 416 codes and it won’t allow me to do it. Everytime I try to add the second 416 code, it deletes the first one. I have video proof of this happening. I also waited until the “saved” tab in the corner disappears after adding the first 416 code. The same thing happens with the 418 codes. Please rectify this ASAP!!!
Dentally update idea - make Email the default option for recalls rather than Letter. Are any other practices finding this to be time consuming? Having to manually change each patients recall option to email (or SMS should you choose) rather than letter is rather tedious. Are many practices still opting to send letters given the cost and inconvenience? Email is surely the preferred option! My idea is for the default selection to be updated to email so any new patients moving forward would automatically have email selected for recalls and further selections can be manually made from there.
Hi there,Would be so great to have voice perio charting for hygienists?
I would like to know if we can print multiple Provider Invoices on ‘1’ page?It is a waste of paper when patients want a printed receipt, especially when the Statements print out all previous Invoice dates. Also is it possible in the future to add the patient next appointment to their Invoice?
Why can’t you send a bulk communication to the list of patients that come from the lapsed patient, unbooked treatment and other reports? Also, I’ve tried to recreate these reports in “Patients” but can’t filter them correctly to get the same list of patients if that makes sense.
Does anyone have a list of compatable terminals for use with Worldpay in order to integrate with Dentally i.e. send payments directly from Dentally to the card machine please? I have seen A920 Pro mentioned but it is still vague as to whether this would work. I was told if it had a screen then it should be ok. Of course I purchased one with a screen and it didn’t. A list of terminals that would work is impossible to find from the Dentally end unfortunatley so anything that is being used would really be appreciated. Thanks
