Currently, we cannot select our Email templates when right clicking from the appointment diary and clicking “Send Email”This means that i am limited to having an email template to “Cancel Next Appointment” but what if the appointment i am cancelling is not their next appointment?It would be useful to have a dropdown to choose from our Email Templates just like we can do when we send an SMS when right clicking an appointment in the diary.This would allow us to create a template which we can use the data tags to pull info from that specific appointment.This would be efficient because we do not pay for sending Emails but we do for sending SMS’s

If we had a data tag that pulls from the patients Dentist Recall, we could tailor automated texts to include the data tag which would read something like “Dear Patient, This is a reminder you are due a dental examination on or around *[patient_next_dentist_recall]…… etc etc.It could be pulled from two locations in dentally, via either Patient Details-->Next Dentist Recall where it shows the date chosen but this is a dropdown that can be changed, OR from Patient Recalls→Due where it shows the date chosen under where it says DueLittle additions like this would be fantastic for customisation for automation. EDIT: Referencing a specific date in a text like this works better because a patient can know exactly when they are/were due depending on when they read this communication from us (as long as the dentists set up recalls correctly!)

Am i missing a trick with zoning? for example our hygiene clinics are every 30 mins, is there an easier way of zoning this than having to create separate 30 mins zones? is there an option to set up a zone and make the slots occur every 30 mins between a set of times easily?

We have an issue with short notice cancellations being offered to patients after the appointment has been booked and unavailable.

Hi team,I’m excited to see the now “Short notice” function on the diary. However, I’d like to see one additional function/filter added to the waitlist/short notice function.Many, if not all patients, have days/times they are available - eg Tuesday afternoon (PM), Friday morning (AM).Could we have this added to the waitlist/short notice function, ie a patient can tell us what days they are normally available. This could be for example, tick boxes eg ticking the boxes for the days of the week a patient is normally available.If this data is captured, it makes it a LOT easier for the reception to know who they can call to fill a slot, rather than calling a whole list of patients. the “AM/PM “ would be a further enhancement, but at a minimum we really do need an idea of what days of the week patients are available. Hi there, I’m trying to create a patient in Dentally from a Zap. The zap will pull patient data from a form on our website and then create that patient in Dentally. The first part is working correctly pulling the form data via a webhook, however the patient creation step isn’t working. I’m using the Dentally 1.3.0 version in Zapier.I’ve tried multiple variants for submitting patient data, including copying data straight out of Dentally (so that the target field matches), but whenever I test it, it returns:“Failed to create a patient in Dentally (1.3.0)The app returned "The patient could not be processed".”I wanted to check:is the Dentally Zapier app still supported? Any ideas on general issues with creating patients? Am I better using the API?Thanks for any thoughts,Tom

How do you search for de-reg or archived patients?

There is no prompt support. Any issue with Dentally will take more then 1hr to get someone to help you. This is delaying the workflow in the practice. There is no agent that can call you, they always send you the the chat where the AI gives the instructions on how to fix something but no really answering to the questions and helping with what you need. The support after the onboarding is only once a week. Really disappointed with the experience we have so far with Dentally. 

Please consider creating a % discount option all our old softwares has this feature. We do 20% off the gap for kids under 18  and 10% for pensioners. We have a number of young staff who struggle to work out percentages on a calculator and this is causing errors with accounts.

HI. I am familiar with the FP17forms that the patients sign through dentally. We also need to sign FP17DC. Can these also be done through dentally? I am referring to the form https://www.nhsbsa.nhs.uk/sites/default/files/2025-04/FP17DC%20form%20England%20-%20April%202025.pdf I could not find any reference to it here or in the support portal.  Thank you

How do I add my practice bank account details to the 'STATEMENT OF ACCOUNT' ?

Hi Would we be able to have an option for previous surname which is searchable? We have a lot of difficulty when people have changed their names after getting married or by deed poll and they are no longer searchable by their previous name. Thanks Mandy

Please can we add a feature to be able to scan directly into the correspondence tab. It is very time consuming to have to scan to the computer drive first and then upload. Also it would beneficial to be able to attach documents and xrays directly from dentally rather than having to download them then open and email and attach them from the drive.thanks

I am carrying out NHS treatment have selected partial acrylic denture treatment and selected the correct upper teeth and I am also making a lower denture but when I go to submit it says 2 lower dentures which obviously looks odd it being marked and may flag us for not making any upper partial dentures When I look in the coding it seems there are no treatment codes configured to send NHS data for upper partial dentures. Is this the same for every practice and all Dentally practices are only sending data saying they are making only lower partial dentures or is is just my site there is no code configured for upper partial dentures.? There is a distinction and extra codes for upper and lower full acrylic or chrome dentures but not for partial ones.I am guessing this is an oversight that may want correcting for ALL NHS Dentally sites ? unless I am the only that has noticed this? 

Can we add a feature to be able to edit the chat once sent? 

So, our reception team have started using the Short Notice filler feature and are loving it! - their only feedback is to include some additional information and specifically time slot and day preferences. Would it be possible to add some some tick boxes for a patients preferred day or time? I wouldn’t expect this to firstly work in conjunction with the suitability part, but if it could be displayed in the already existing ‘notes’ column for reception quickly glance at before selecting who to send a short notice SMS, it could potentially save a few pence here and there and improve the uptake. For example: Many thanks for your consideration,Fran

Hi team,This is a simple request which I’ve spoken about with the Dentally Support team before, hopefully it will be easy to implement as it will create some small but important productivity savings.We print off our daily takings report to check and sign off as there is a “Print” button for Dentally.However, there are also 2 other reports we are using on a daily basis to check and sign off to improve financial control:1. Invoices (To check all invoices are cleared or otherwise sign off why they are unpaid)Payment allocations - Practitioners to sign off on their allocations to ensure there are no errors at end of month.Currently our team are either taking multiple screenshots to capture all the data, and pasting in Word to print.This is not the most efficient, especially for Payment Allocations for practitioners as there are multiple pages each day in the report. It would be so much more

When taking a deposit or payment from a patient using the credit card terminal, all the detailed information has to be resubmitted again if the card payment is declined.This can be a very time consuimg task on a busy reception desk when the patient tries multiple times after they think they have fixed the issue (usually by moving money between bank accounts or forgetting the pin or have to use a different card).Why isn’t there a feature in Dentally to try a payment transaction again without losing all the nuances of the details entered like how much the payment is, which practitioner it’s for, description of the payment etc.  Today I had to do this 5 times for one patient because it kept declining.  It was very inefficient and no reason why Dentally cannot make that process easier by selecing a button “Try payment again” rather than cancalling the whole transaction.We use Dojo with the ability to send send transaction data directly to the terminal wireles

SOE Exact always adapted the code automatically when charting to avoid mistakes - this will suck up a lot of time 

Can a param filter please be added to the Rota Practitioner Diary that filters out rows in which a practitioner is no available? It makes sense that in endpoint we the only are looking at dates in which our practitioners are available, and we can make the assumption the practitoner is not available a certain as there is no data for it.

Where does everyon source Dentally training for New Team Members? Does the Academy still exist?
