It would be helpful to allow when saving/printing previous day lists that the list shows the patients who are in the diary but have failed to attend the appointment.
Good afternoon, On the + Deposit tab in the new screen is there any way of allocating this to NHS/Private? Currently we are +payment and then allocating to add deposit which is long winded. Many thanks

Hi all,Using the dentally sandbox application we have the option to add ‘custom_fields’ to a patient entity. These fields can then be updated from the patient view. But I can’t find the way to create the ‘custom_fields’ via the public API.Similarly when trying to update a patient, passing along the ‘custom_fields’ property does not update the values set.I’m trying to have a Dentally user set some custom value’s on the patient entity that can be accessed by a 3rd party application. Using the API we use the ‘metadata’ property but the Dentally user has not access to that. And vice versa the API has no access to set the ‘custom_fields’ but the Dentally user can.Is there a possible workaround for this?
Are there any plans to add notes and bleeding to BPE
Why cant we run taking report for full month now, why dentally is taking usefull working features away!!
Hello all,Using the dentally sandbox application we are able to create a new appointment reason. But looking through the dentally API documentation, I can’t find a endpoint to do this using the API?Are there any alternative solutions for this?Thank you for your time.Kind regards,Jens
any codes for emax fits anyone please?

Cancellations have been significantly higher over recent months for us - anecdotally we are hearing the same from colleagues in Aus, I'm sure this can be validated by Dentally also.Cancellations and unutilised time are a challenge for practices to manage. At our practice, we try to be as proactive as possible to prevent issues arising. We are looking into what we can do to improve Cancellation rates - one initiative is to inform patients of our Cancellation policy (that we may take a cancellation fee out of their deposit, if they cancel with short notice - to deter them from cancelling). The ‘deterrant’ effect is important, psychologically, and used by many business across industries. The difficulty is, as our online bookings are with Dentally, there is nowhere we can display this policy at the stage of booking. Eg "do you consent to our cancellation policy" or something similar.Could we please have this added as an improvement on the Portal for booking, as it could have the potential
Hi guys,we have a patient who recently (a few weeks ago during our move over to Dentally) came in for their routine check up. We had them down as private and as such created a fee. They are in fact a Denplan patient. How do we now take off the £? Does it need to be done by a higher level user and if so, how do they go about it?
there seems to be a breakage in x ray bridging link for the whole practice. we had to do it yesterday now it happens again this morning

We’ve noticed that the tablets( Apple , Android) need to be re linked repeatedly, which disrupts our workflow. Each time we contact support, the standard advice is to remove the device, clear the cache, and re link essentially repeating the same temporary fix. It would be greatly appreciated if Dentally could address the issue and provide a more stable and reliable version of the product or may be a new product. A long term solution would significantly improve the user experience and reduce the need for repeated troubleshooting.
Hi, When we used to remove a clinician, we used to have the option on our previous system to allocate all registered patients under that clinician to another clinician. This doesn't appear the case in Dentally. We are told to go to the patients tab and change the allocated dentist, this for clinicians who have a lot of patients would be ridiculous to expect admin staff to do. That or you create a report of that clinicians patients and inform Dentally so they can move the patients in batch.A really poor process. Dentally needs to add the ability to allocate patients when archiving a clinician to a current clinician
Hello Dentally Community,Our practice greatly appreciates the ease of clicking a button to put a new referral through the patients file on Dentally. However, we feel it would be beneficial for everyone if your system could pick up any referral activity. Where it currently says “Success” in green, it could say “action needed” (if hospital requires additional info) and be orange or “failed” (if referral rejected) in red. This could also be automatically flagged to the dentist in notifications when the status changes to orange or red. It would make sense to create referral reports based on the referrals. Many thanks for your consideration.East Mews

Hi,One of our clinicians has come back to work today after two weeks holiday, and her diary is not showing the greyed out areas for breaks or other closed diaries. In other words she has white space everywhere, including where there shouldn’t be! Is anyone else having this issue as she is the only one in the practice who is, the diary is displaying correctly in Reception. ThanksClaire
Hi, does anyone know if it’s possible to search for a referral that has been sent and is stored on the patients “Referrals” tab. We have received a rejection email for a patient but I can’t locate it on Dentally and would like to be able to search by LAN number. Thanks
Good morning, Please can you advise/ work on a possible edit where you can create Zones from the Diary/Calendar. This was a very useful function in SOE for quick changes in the diary.
Hi @Saymon Do you know if Dentally have any plans to improve the instant messaging feature. We use this a lot in our practice and we miss the feature that enabled us to message a group of people at the same time ie, messaging both receptionists at once. Also, the aesthetics look a little clumsy as one of our clinicians has a long name and her name doesnt fit correctly therefore doesnt show how many messages outstanding form her
Morning! We moved over to Dentally on Tuesday and one of the clinicians took BW rads. They came up on the screen but then disappeared...does anybody know how or if we can retrieve them?
Guys, new users of Dentally here. So far loving it but I have inadvertently placed a ‘special needs’ icon on a patient. How do I remove it. Thanks peeps
Is there any update/plan regarding the online booking restrictions to prevent NHS patients from booking private exam appointment.
Is there any possibility that when our SMS recalls, reminders or any text message sent from Dentally that instead of just displaying our allocated mobile number that it appears as our practice name? Much like when Dentally sends us our 2FA SMS it shows up as ‘DENTALLY’ and not a random mobile number. This will help practices limit the amount of characters needed per SMS by not having to sign off as their practice name each time. Also, I’ve noticed our staff occasionally send SMS’s and sign off as their first names, which if the patient hasn’t saved the number as our practice, it may just come across as from a random person.
