It would be great to have a bespoke tag system, whereby we can create our own tags in settings.

Use cases might include the following, although an effective system would allow you to choose your own titles and colours:

  • Mobility Restrictions
  • Wheelchair User
  • Downstairs Surgeries Only
  • Ongoing Complaint
  • Welsh (or other language) Speaker
  • Severe Gag Reflex
  • Carer Required
  • Visual Impairment
  • Hard of Hearing

We should then be able to add the tags to patient records, add / change / remove them in bulk via the patients report, and report on patient tags in the patients report (e.g. add tags to the filter).

Obviously you would expose the tags via the API, and have a tags endpoint!

The engineering here isn’t complex.

Again, this feature is fairly 101 for most SaaS CRM systems.

Hi @aferguson024 thanks for sharing!

I’ll absolutely feed this back to the product team as I can see how it would be useful. In the meantime, you can use a combination of medical alerts and custom fields to record this data. Medical alerts display at the top of a patient record and can be filters in the ‘Patients’ report - while you can add multiple custom fields to the ‘Details’ tab so you can record additional data there.

I appreciate these may not tick all the boxes so I will feed this back to the product team - cc @Hansa Rastogi

One question - could you share more context about how/when you’d find it useful to update in bulk?

The medical alert though should automatically display in writing or at least when you hover over it what the medical condition is.

Yes if you set text against the medical alert, it will automatically display at the top of the patient record - see screenshots below! As noted above, we understand this doesn’t solve all the issues mentioned, but it does allow you to see it displayed in writing as you have described!

Again, this is something to do manually. Additionally, there should be dental questions that ask the PT these things like gag reflex. Doing these small manual tasks in the grand scheme takes up so much time of an admin when we could be doing more production/revenue generating tasks such as making those pending treatment calls, etc.

Thanks for the additional insight @Drea, I’ve fed this back as well!
