Hiya, Is there anywhere we can log a voicemail left for the patient, in corrospondence it only has a log a phonecall and i don’t want to do it in notes ideally.

At the moment there is no separate voicemail correspondence type in Dentally. The recommended approach is to log it as a Phone Call and note that it was a voicemail, so it sits in Correspondence rather than clinical notes. You could also add a Task on the patient to retry the call so it is not missed.

 

I can see how a distinct “Voicemail left” option would help. Could you share a bit more so I can pass it to our product team?

  • How often does this come up in your practice?

  • Who logs these most often?

  • Would you prefer a separate Voicemail type, or a Call outcome such as “Voicemail left”?

  • Do you need to filter and report on these?

We would use this a lot, as we call patients to confirm if they haven’t responded to their SMS confirmation, or when following up missed appontments etc. A lot of people don’t answer their phones during the day so we find we leave a lot of messages


We leave a lot of messages for patients regarding treatments and appointments and it would be good to see this while looking in correspondence without having to go into each entry. Reception will mostly logs calls. A voicemail option would be best. Thankyou
