Tell me this is happening sometime soon!

White space everywhere and where to start!

If anything why can we add to the waiting list while booking that individual appointment, rather than having to open patient record, appointments and the adding, so time consuming!

Hello! I'm delighted to say that we have built this and it's rolling out to all our customers this week - you'll soon see a little jigsaw icon appear on your calendar in the top right! Please encourage your reception teams to use it 😄

Hey @Laura B  👋

Great timing 😃 ! Our team is working on a built-in tool to help reception teams fill last-minute gaps automatically. That should take most of the white-space firefighting off your hands.

I’ve tagged @Hansa Rastogi, our Product Manager who’s working on this, as she may be able to add you to our upcoming beta testing. If you’re keen to try it first, just let her know!

On your point about adding patients to the waiting list right from the booking pop-up: you’re not the only one asking. I’ve flagged it with our Product team and will keep you posted if it moves forward. 😊

Hi,

Please could I be added to the beta testing for the short notice automation as this is something we desperately need at our practice! We recently changed from SOE a few months ago and it was a very helpful feature on SOE :) Thanks

This would be really useful - I look forward to having this for our reception team in the future.

Side note: In regards to the ‘unbooked treatment’ report - If this could be viewed per appointment which is unbooked rather than per patient and their treatment plan value, that would be beneficial. Then we could maybe filter by appointment length and/or type (i.e. hygiene apt, treatment), this would actually make this report more useful in my opinion. Currently we have to view each patient on the report to find a suitable appointment type/length, which is time consuming.

We are pleased you have added an automated short notice list. Very simple to message patients.

However, it would handy to be able to see a list of who is on it. I went looking for one like the “Waiting List” report, but I have discovered that you have to go to “Appointments” report, then edit the filters to only show those on the Short Notice List.

Is it possible to have a direct link/report for the new Short Notice List?

@Hansa Rastogi - a really good idea for future, a hotkey style button would be good to make it easier than having to fill out lots of answers to get the report.

Thanks both for feeding back @DJmum @RegentStreet85 - as you say it is possible to use the ‘Appointments’ report for now, but the need to have it more readily available makes total sense! The product team are already aware of similar feedback so please rest assured this is on their radar

Any other feedback please do drop it below!

As quoted by your AI BOT:
You can only add patients to the short notice list if they already have a booked appointment. It's not possible to add someone without a booked appointment to the short notice filler—this feature is designed to move existing appointments into newly available slots, not to manage unbooked requests or waiting lists for future dates like 17 December. If a patient wants to be notified if a slot opens up, you'll need to book them for a future appointment first, then add that booking to the short notice list.

My question was: how do I add a patient to the short notice list if they don't have a booked appt? I.E. they want one Dec 17, nothing is available but we want to send them the short notice option in case something opens up?

This should be a feature as well. I understand the short notice is liked “booked and waiting” i.e. booked but want sooner appt. But it should also be able to be “unbooked and waiting.”

Hi @Drea thanks for the feedback - the AI summary is correct, the current short notice feature does not allow you to add patients who don’t have an appointment booked, this is expected behaviour.

However I can definitely raise this as a feature request and the product team will look into whether it might be possible to incorporate unbooked appointments into the feature. Thanks for sharing your experience!
