We are liking to new task screen layout. Would this be something that could be used on the Appointment tab e.g Today, Upcoming, Completed and Cancelled.It would make looking at patients appointment easier.  

At the moment, Dentally won’t let you use Charge when the appointment total is €0, so it won’t generate an invoice from the treatment plan for PRSI exams (because PRSI Exam has no patient fee) I would like to Allow Charge to create a €0 invoice when appointment total is €0. It is difficult for reception to know when a PRSI exam has been done as no invoice is automatically created then

We have raised before the issue of emergency contact information at every training session Dentally did with our practices.The portal always asks the patients to update their emergency contact information.This information doesn't appear to show anywhere on dentally for the practice to see. Meaning the patient believes we have their emergency contact when in fact we have no way to see it.We were always told to just add this information into a custom field, not ideal but apparently Dentallys solution. You have now moved that custom field into its on box that you have to click into to see it, it doesn't appear on the patient screen now.This box also does have a UDC yes/no box which would actually be helpful as we have run these schemes for a couple of years now. but again pointless to select as it doesn’t show anywhere useful. But I believe the emergency contact info should be a priority for dentally to look into.Our current solution is

Hi all - I'm Luke, a product designer working with the Dentally team. We're building something we know a lot of Welsh NHS practices have been after: clear reporting on how you're tracking against your NHS contract. Where you are against your ACV target, how individual clinicians are performing, and where the gaps are - without having to piece it together yourself.This is focused on Wales first, so right now I'm specifically after Welsh practices.Who I'm looking forPractice managers and clinicians/associates who deal with NHS contract performance day to day. You don't need to be a Dentally expert or have any technical knowledge - if you've ever had to work out whether the practice is on track, or had that conversation about an associate's numbers, you're exactly who I want to hear from.I'm keen to hear from both sides, because what a practice manager needs to see and what an associate needs to see aren't always the same thing.

It would be extremely beneficial to have the option to create questionnaire links to send to patients via the portal for pre appointment screening etc rather than being so manual for them

I'd like to provide feedback on your DIrect Messages feature. The windows to see the list of contacts is too small, and there is no appropriate signs as to which conversation has been read or not. Perhaps this features requires some reworking, as it is specially frustrating on large practices with dozens of staff texting. In fact, you cannot even read their full names if too long. Please fix this as this is a huge quality of lifeimprovement for a very good platform.

please someone tell me that this is possible to doi want a report of debtors by clinician that raised the invoice and therefore has outstanding monieswe share quite a few patient treatments eg general with a dentist, ortho with another, implants with another.please tell me this is possible as i want to hand a list to each clinician and i have tried multiple reports and the help option and cant find a way 

It would be a great time-saving feature if there was an option to do a mass export in the correspondence section, just like we can export the clinical notes history at the click of a button.The reason I am requesting this is that I am in the middle of copying & pasting every SMS sent, every email sent and every call log for a solicitor acting on behalf of a patient who has requested their entire data file from us. I think this feature should only be available through Administrator access level. 

We’ve historically used Open Treatment Plans very effectively for diary utilisation and identifying outstanding treatment opportunities. However, one key limitation we’ve encountered in Dentally is the inability to efficiently filter and identify specific unbooked treatment items within open treatment plans.At present, if we try to search or filter by treatment type, the system also returns closed, completed, and historical treatment records. This makes it extremely difficult to isolate treatment that is still outstanding and genuinely unbooked.Having the ability to filter specifically for:Open and incomplete treatment only By treatment type/procedure With no future appointment bookedwould significantly improve diary management and operational efficiency.This would be particularly valuable for:Filling last-minute diary gaps with appropriate treatment Managing clinician-specific availability

It would be useful if NHS appointments (in the portal) could have a private price set on top of NHS banding - so we can offer hygiene along with an NHS checkup in the same appointment.This would give use better control of appointment times and pricing.For NHS practices with a UDA treadmill, time efficiency is essential.Currently patients can “book together” - but if an NHS checkup is 15 minutes we don’t need a full 20 minute hygiene slot ...maybe just an additional 5-10 minutes. We could also charge a reduced price for hygiene booked with a checkup.Current workaround would be to make a sperate “Hygiene booked with checkup” hygiene appointment and rely on patients to make the right selection and not book it as a standalone appointment - which they inevitably will.

The xero integration is great and we were so relieved that this was a feature on Dentally, however since turning the xero integration on, we have since learnt it has some flaws.Payments can’t be amended - This is not realistic & as much as we’d like to ensure payments are added onto the patient’s account correctly, this is not always possible. Not being able to amend payments once they’ve been entered creates a huge issue.Daily automation - my suggestion is for there to be a delay with the uploading of the data from Dentally to Xero (even 48 hours). This will allow enough time for any amendments to be made & in order to ensure the accounts are correct.

​@Saymon ​@Hebe Lowen  Hello, As stated on the dentally help pages https://help.dentally.com/en/articles/3563775-dentally-ipad Dentally are looking at reiring the ipad app. Does Dentally have any plans to mirror the appt book listing for each day within the concierge app. Can be a bit cumbersome having to get pts to confirm its them when doing their forms. We tend to initiate for them and pass it over to fill in.  Also, is there a way of stopping concierge from checking pts in. We do that on our kiosk or manually once forms complete.  

Hi team,We have noticed some significant gaps/issues with using Treatment Plan reporting effectively.1) Our clinical team has flagged that when treatments are marked as “complete”, they disappear into the “history” and its really clunky/difficult to see clearly what their previous treatment was, as you have to trawl through many lines to find it. It should be accessibile much more quickly than that. Happy to ask the team for some suggestions but there must be a better way to do this? As a result, because it is so clunky to use, our team have been choosing not to mark treatments as ‘complete’, as they will be unable to find them easily - causing our Treatment Planning reporting to be completely ineffective (as the data is incorrect)There needs to be a way in treatment plans/treatment plan reporting to record treatment plans that have “Expired” (eg its been more than 6 mths, prices have changed/treatment needed may ha

we have some patients who come privately for initial appt and then wish to change to denplan if they need a lot of treatment carried out as we offer discount. it would be helpful to be able to move the treatment plan to denplan pricing without having to rechart is this possible. has anyone a work around

I think this has been requested before. Im looking for a report that pulls diary utilisation for a month in arrears. That only displays hours available. A great report snapshot in SOE to reference to is monthly analysis 👌 where I could see FTAs, Diary % Utilisation & hourly rate per clinician in one report. Currently in dentally I cant pull some of these figures or im having to run reports individually per clinician, very time consuming. Happy to be contacted if more context is needed. Thanks, Laura 

Hi All,Using dentally since July 2025. In previous PMS we were able to do financial reports for a whole year that gave month by month totals for each practitioner and do on spreadsheet. I realise that one can print a month report for production etc in dentally but is there anyway to do a financial year by month? If there is not this is yet another issue with dentally financial reporting...no decent GST reporting either.

Please can all Dentist have total no of UDAs submitted on the dashboard … it will make things easy 

Would love some guidance on how to edit a previously charted filling when during treatment the surfaces involved change, eg; an occlusal cavity planned for an occlusal restoration  extends to become a DO. Currently we find we have to delete  the initial item and re-chart. This is a faff but also not medico legally prudent as it changes the point of diagnoses. 

Hi I have mentioned this to support before but nothing has come of it.  When setting up an automation rule,  espcially for emails or sms, the trigger event seems to be based solely on the start or finish time of an appointment time.Whilst this might be useful to some, it fails in some areas.  What would be more logical and extremely helpful to practices is if an email an automation rule can be setup to send an email or sms a certain number of minutes or hours AFTER an appointment has been BOOKED.The rationale behind this is quite simple.  We might book an emergency appointment in 30 minutes time where we have a gap.  At present the automation rule will send an email a certain amount of time before the actual appointment but there is no consistency in when it will be sent because the time is soon approaching for the appointment OR it could be in 1 month time.  The downside of this is that the patient wont receive e.g. the confirmation of appointment e

Could I suggest doubling the size of the signature box on dentally portal for tablets. Many patients have difficulty signing within the box, or don’t even notice it so the medical history times out
