I’ve had a chat with the team and this sits within some broader practitioner utilisation and reporting work they’re aware of, even if there isn’t anything concrete to share just yet.

I know having to stitch this together across multiple reports isn’t ideal, so I’ve added your use case to what we already have logged. If this area gets more focus or there’s progress on reporting improvements, I’ll make sure to update the thread.

Hi ​@Saymon , I have raised this before both in the community I believe, and also via email to our Dentally reps.

it really does not make sense that Dentally allows forward looking diary utilisation in the dashboard, but no historical reporting on utilisation.

Chair time utilisation is a key and basic efficiency metric and absolutely critical to manage a service-based business effectively. Chatting to other colleagues on different PMS, no one has mentioned that they don’t have CTU so Dentally has a gap here, not providing a basic metric that other platforms provide as standard.

As my previous experience is in business management and reporting, I am honestly so shocked that basic information like this is not offered in Dentally. It is impossible to manage a business effectively and make decisions, without this key info.

Is there a time frame for when diary/chair time utilisation reporting (historical) will be available?

We recognise the gap here and the impact it’s having on our users. While we’re not able to share specific timelines or commitments at this stage, this is an area we intend to strengthen.

As soon as we have more information, we’ll be sure to share.
