Please can we add a feature to be able to scan directly into the correspondence tab. It is very time consuming to have to scan to the computer drive first and then upload.

Also it would beneficial to be able to attach documents and xrays directly from dentally rather than having to download them then open and email and attach them from the drive.

thanks

Hey @ciaras 👋,

Thanks for sharing this suggestion. You’re definitely not the only one asking for it. We’ve had similar requests from practices in Australia, Canada, and the U.K.

I don’t have any updates to share just yet as the team hasn’t picked this up, but I can see it was raised again recently in January. I’ll add your details to the existing request and make sure to keep you updated here 😊

If any other practices feel the same, feel free to drop a comment below. It really helps us call this out as a top request.

Add NZ to this list.  A good deal of what we gain in time moving from Exact is lost having to go through this  operation.

@ciaras @David Lawn @RegentStreet85 @IMRANM @lucy.birss Hi all - I’m pleased to confirm that this feature is in active development, and you’ll all be added to the Beta testing group! So look out for the Beta feature coming soon 😊

@paddydawson your comment came in after I’d already discussed this with the product team (I was literally about to hit send on this before you commented!), but I’ll find out whether you can be added to the Beta too! If not, keep your eyes peeled for the general release soon

Watch this space. Im currently testing the scanning into Dentally direct. My team love it so I think most users will call it a “Game Changer” (Yorkshire phrase) when it releases

Just came to say that I keep getting an error message when scanning directly into patient records. We have an all in one printer/scanner/copier and whilst scanning from the flatbed is ok (apart from not being able to change the page size to anything other than “Letter”), if I scan from the Automatic feeder I can change page size but I get an error message after the scan is complete. The message seems to imply that the scan hasn’t worked, but it is there on the patient record and can be saved as normal. Is anyone else having this issue? I would also like to be able to change the page size, as we rarely use anything in “Letter” size, it’s mainly A4 or A5
