My colleagues have found that when making an appointment using the calendar, when we enter a patient with an Open Course Of Treatment, and when we click under new appointment where we select the unbooked appointment for example 20 mins - Glass Ionomer (UR7), it selects that fine but under duration it stays at 5mins.

I believe normal behaviour should be that when we select the treatment it should also update the duration so we don’t have to manually match it each time.

I hope this is the correct place to report minor bugs like this whenever we find them, if someone could let me know and if not then where is best to i would also appreciate it!

Hi @Vas, another good spot!

I’ve spoken to the product team and just to confirm, the bug is in how the duration field is displaying, not with the actual length of the appointment. If you select the unbooked appointment of 20m, the duration field may still be displaying 5m, but if you go ahead and click ‘Save’, the actual length of the appointment will update to 20m once saved.

Even though it’s displaying 5m (which it shouldn’t), it knows the appointment should be 20m and will save accordingly, so there’s no need to manually edit the duration each time before saving.

The devs are looking into fixing the display issue so that there’s no more confusion, but in the meantime you should be able to proceed as normal. I’ll let you know once the display bug is fixed!

In terms of how to log bugs - in the future, the quickest way for you is to start a support chat while you’re logged into Dentally. This means you don’t need to navigate elsewhere - and it also allows our teams to take a look at your actual Dentally environment so they can check if it’s specific to you or not. We’d recommend this as the best way to raise bugs!

@Vas you’re very welcome! I’ve been advised by the engineers that this should now have been fixed - if it continues, feel free to reach out again here or via support chat :)
