Payment Glitch

Has anyone else experienced taking a payment, and then it loads and processes it to the users account but rather than getting rid of the payment box it keeps it on the screen, occasionally causing confusion as we think we just haven’t clicked record payment yet but we have and it successfully went onto the patient profile, so sometimes we end up putting a payment through twice as a result.

We have very good internet, but this happens occasionally and has done for a few weeks now, is anyone else aware of this happening when taking payments, has this happened to anyone else before?

Hi @Vas - I’ve raised this with the product team, they’ve asked whether you’re finding this issue with ALL types of payments, or only with certain types? We are aware of an issue with EFTPOS payments which is similar but not identical, but if you’re seeing it in other instances too please can you let me know exactly when it’s occurring? Thank you

Yes, i logged it with support a couple of weeks ago. Ours does it intermittently, no pattern to it.

For our team, we have mainly experienced this whilst simply recording payments, its not common, but happens from time to time, feels like just from time to time it glitches and keeps you on the payment screen after you click record payment.

I am familiar with the Henry Shein payment system which links up to your card machine. It does take a while to load sometimes however we have never connected it so I dont know if this applies to that. We dont utilise this as we have a big reception and 2 card machines for 3 front of desk reception computers, which would take longer to select which card machine to use as we sometimes switch between card machines.

The other day dentally took a long time to load things. This happens from time to time too, perhaps we are stumbling into this when the whole of dentally is running slow. This fits the pattern that seems to happen, perhaps that is the cause.
