We’re using an I-pad and a touchscreen Chrome book for Concierge in our practice.

We have used a Chromebook as a tablet as it is compatible. Unfortunately, when filling out the date of birth, they have to  use the full keyboard to input the ‘/’ in-between the numbers for the date, which the I-pad does automatically.

I understand this is not a setting Dentally can change, but was wondering if there is an easier way to find the patients to sign them in. A way that doesn’t involve typing in their date of birth. This is easier for our elderly patients who find touchscreen keyboards tricky, and can just maybe select buttons instead (which happens after).

@maddiforster thank you for the feedback - for reference, we do recommend Apple or Android devices (updated to the latest version) as Concierge is optimised for these devices, providing you with the best experience. Other devices can be used but we cannot guarantee all features will work as expected. You can learn more here

This particular issue isn’t something we’ve heard before, but I will pass it onto the product team!

I have managed to sort the problem by downloading a new type of keyboard. Its just whether there is a way of making the signing in purely push buttons, rather than typing in? This might be really complicated and understand it is a very small problem we have. :)

@maddiforster that’s great news, I’m glad you’ve found a workaround! I have still raised your request anyway, noting that push buttons to select the date would be preferable - this has been passed onto the product team
