Hello,

We are a group of practices from Scotland, that have just moved over to Dentally from SOE Exact and I was looking to feedback some features that I think are crucial and would really appreciate being explored.

  • When submitting an NHS treatment plan, could the software please be altered to allow number of teeth, restorations needed, BPE and radiographs taken be pulled automatically from the charting as it previously.
  • Can the display of the pages have improvements when on the chart tab. Could the sidebar be adjusted to be made wider, allowing for more text to be seen. In addition if the treatment tab at the bottom or base chart be allowed to be moved up or down to allow more visibility.
  • I would also really like to request if the software design can be made more dyslexic and colour blind friendly with tabs being spaced out more, headings bolded or in bubbles. Difficult to process all the information.
  • Calendar side window display feature to be added on like on SOE where we can be on a patients account and view the diary.
  • Colour code changing on diary view when patients arrive.

Hi @amnaa_z 👋

Thanks so much for taking the time to share such detailed feedback.

Our Product Director, Max Eskell, has recently replied to a post covering these same Scottish‑specific gaps, including charting improvements, auto‑add fees, and GP17 DMF. You can read his full update here:
👉 Lack of functionality for Scottish Users

If you’re happy for the product team to reach out directly, just say so in the thread, they’re keen to hear from practices using these workflows day‑to‑day.

Hi Saymon, I posted the original post you refer to in your response. I am disappointed that a more active approach has not been taken to resolving these issues rather than Max essentially telling us we are a lesser priority than England and Wales on my post despite paying the same amount for the same software. I would appreciate if Dentally could prioritise these improvements to the Scottish system as it was sold as a massive improvement to EXACT to Scottish users.
