At the moment if an NHS patient books a Private appointment via the portal e.g for Private Emergency then the portal forces the patient to fill in an NHS PR form even though the appointment is a private appointment. NHS PR forms are ONLY for an NHS Course of Treatment. This is wrong functinality.

Hi @Shapour Hariri 👋 Welcome to the Community!

You’re absolutely right that the Portal shouldn’t be asking NHS PR forms for private‐only appointments. I’ve spoken to our Product team and they’ve confirmed this is being looked at. Essentially, we need to teach the Portal to look at the appointment’s “NHS vs Private” flag before deciding whether to surface the PR form, rather than just checking the patient’s NHS status and upcoming slot.

While that work goes through, you can prevent the NHS PR prompt altogether by heading into Customise Portal → Online Signing → Document types and toggling off “NHS Practice Record.” I know it’s a bit of a blunt instrument (it disables PR forms for all appointments), but it’ll stop private emergency bookings from triggering an NHS PR form until we roll out the selective logic.

I’ll update this thread as soon as I have more updates e for the selective‐appointment‐type support, so you can leave NHS PR enabled for genuine courses of treatment. Thanks for your patience on this!
