A feature to incorporate would be to be able to send a patient a link to fill out their personal details and information prior to the appt. At the moment they can only fill out medical history, but I think it would be very efficient for workflow if reception when booking an appointment gather the name and phone number to sms or email a link for patients to fill out the remainder of their information. Which can then be reviewed by staff and confirmed

Hi @GGKTHNX 👋

Thanks for the suggestion!

You should be able to this today with Dentally Portal. Basically, when a patient books (or is booked) into your diary, Portal automatically asks for any missing personal details via the ‘Complete your details’ action card on their phone.

Here’s how it works:
    1.    Enable task reminders in Portal AdminPatient Notifications. If a patient still has outstanding forms (personal details, medical history, NHS FP17, etc.) they’re sent a secure SMS with a unique link the day before their visit.
    2.    If reception wants to nudge someone sooner, copy your practice’s Portal link from Portal AdminCustomisePortal web address and paste it into an SMS or email template. The patient logs in, fills the form, and the data lands straight into the ‘Details’ tab in Dentally for your team to review and confirm.

Patients only need their name, DOB and mobile to get started, so reception can keep phone bookings super-quick.

Hope that helps! 😊
