I am trying to encourage the dentists to be up to date with clearing out reports. I would like to create a task that pops up each week to remind them. I would envisage that once ticked as completed it disapears until the next week when pops up again…….I am struggling to set this up as when I complete it immediately pops up as a new task. Which is not as I intended. Any help appreciated.

Hey Matt! It sounds like this is the way Dentally is designed to work. When you mark a recurring task as completed (like your weekly reminder), it immediately schedules the next one, which is why it’s popping up again right away.

At the moment, there doesn’t seem to be a way to delay the next task from appearing until the following week. I get that it might not be exactly what you were after, so I’ll pass your feedback on to the Dentally team. Hopefully, they can look into it for future updates! :)

When I used to work in a bank, we used Crystal Reporting and the automation engine would email us a report on a set frequency which was ideal because we had all the information to hand as soon as we came to work.

I would love for me practice manager or nurses to be able to come in each morning with a report showing whatever we wanted e.g. cancelled patients via the portal or outstanding debt that needs to be collected.  It helps focus staff on whatever management want done rather than a report having to be manually generated and the specific filters being set each time.

@BCDC2023 have you looked at MPC before? They have a Daily Action today dashboard that covers most of this and more! You can customise it too so different team members have access to different aspects. I.e only management can access the financials etc. definitely worth looking at.

@Emily Bendelow

Thanks for the reply.  What is MPC?

@BCDC2023 I believe it stands for MultiPractice Cloud. It’s a practice management system. It now directly connects to dentally. It simplifies and automates reporting. If you send me a private message with your contact details I can get my account manager to set you up a demo so you can see for yourself.
