Another feature that would be incredibly helpful is the ability to send an online booking link directly from a patient’s treatment plan.

For example, a dentist may create a treatment plan with three appointments, where the first appointment is 1 hour 45 minutes and costs £314, but the patient leaves without booking at reception. It would be really useful to be able to send the patient a bespoke booking link for that specific appointment as part of the follow-up process, rather than relying on back-and-forth messages or asking reception to manually recreate it. Ideally, the patient would also be required to make an advance payment of £314 at the point of booking.

This functionality existed in EXACT (albeit without the payment element), and it worked well. Having something similar in Dentally would make treatment plan follow-ups much smoother, reduce admin time, and improve conversion from planned to booked treatment.

Hi @Ola,

Thanks for the feature request. I’ve seen this before in the Community so you’re not alone.

I’ll have a chat with the team working on some features we have brought from EXACT to see if this is on their radar. There is some ongoing work that might be relevant related to recalls, however I am not sure it will be specific to your use case. I’ll keep you posted with any updates as usual! 😊

Hey @Ola,

Just to close the loop on this, yes, this is something the product team is already aware of.

There’s ongoing work in this area (including around recalls and follow-ups), though I can’t confirm yet whether it’ll cover this exact use case with bespoke booking links and upfront payment.

I’ll keep the thread updated if there are any concrete developments 😊
