Hi,

Is there any way to see a log of changes that have been made to a specific appointment, eg if the appointment has been moved last minute (but not cancelled) or if the time of the appointment has been lengthened.

On SOE there was a function where all the changes to a specific appointment were logged. It is very helpful when there is a patient who is a constantly cancelling or changing appointments last minute as it provides evidence.

Many thanks

Marian, Bupa Windsor

Hi Marian,

Yes, you should be able to view a log of changes made to an appointment in Dentally. This audit record shows when an appointment was created, any time or duration changes, cancellations, and even the patient’s arrival details, which can be really handy if you need evidence of last-minute changes.

Here’s how to access it:

• Head to the patient’s record and click the Appointments tab.

• Find the specific appointment and click the Edit (📝) button.

• In the pop-up screen, look for the clock icon at the bottom and click it. This will display the audit log showing all changes made by both patients and practitioners.

For more details, you can check out our Help Centre article here: How to Audit a Patient’s Appointment.

Hope this helps, and let me know if you have any further questions!
